EvilFuture
Why would people pre-order when you can get a 5 dollar reserve card from Walmart and get it the day it releases?

Ex Hellraiser
Why would people pre-order when you can get a 5 dollar reserve card from Walmart and get it the day it releases? To not pay $5 more than I need to...

To not pay $5 more than I need to... When you preorder you put 5$ and it reserves and goes to the game. Your an idiot if you buy a reserve card lol

Which makes sure the store actually has it when you show up (and it's even better if you work there, because you get a 10% discount, lol).

eagle016
Why would people pre-order when you can get a 5 dollar reserve card from Walmart and get it the day it releases? Because they're essentially the same thing?
Johan
Buy it in the store, there's a risk that they'll sell out by the time I get there but it's better than waiting until 7pm EST for UPS to deliver it to me when I can get it around 1:50 PM

Revolution-XW
Buy in store. Online order might not arrive in time. This. I will buy at the store since there's like 4 gaming stores near me and there's always games in stock available for purchase.

Collector's Edition, and you know how Australia inflates game prices.

Even so, that's basically 2 1/2 games, I'm not sure how much more it is for Australia for the normal one, but $150 is pretty insane.

EB Games have GTA V standard edition at $108 but it'll prolly end up being $80 like most games these days OT: I'm gunna pre-order soon. Then i'll walk into the store on launch day and pay the rest of it off, and leave with my game. Does that mean i'm doing both?

So that's why it's $150, not $108.

d3ex2
I'm torn. I only just got a copy of IV from a store on the day it came out. It was a load of hassle so from then on I just bought games online. I have V preordered on Amazon but I can cancel at any time since they don't take money until they dispatch it. I really want to pick the game up at my local store but I don't know if I'd be guaranteed a copy. I really want to walk down, wait in line, buy the game and walk home. It adds a bit of excitement finally having the game but not being able to play it. I don't want to risk going down and not getting a copy. If I preorder two copies (online/instore) I could just return one but then I'd be out an extra ~£40.
Jesus Piece
I never buy games in brick & mortar stores these days. I just pre-order on Amazon with release-date delivery. That being said, I usually make an exception with Rockstar's games so I can grab them at midnight. I'll probably pre-order GTA V at Best Buy or GameStop to get it that first night. I'm just wondering if R* will do a special edition for GTA V. I missed out on the SE for IV
