Destructo
Maybe Microsoft is still partners with Rockstar Games. One can dream...
Freezer89
Chances of this happening: Below Zero. If anything it will be revealed after release in September. Even so I don't believe in a next-gen port of V.
Knife
Do I think GTA V will be ported to next-gen consoles? Yes. Do I think they'll announce such a port before 2014? No.

Destructo
The way I see it, they will most likely port V to PC, and since it is easier to port games between PC and next-gen consoles, I don't see why they wouldn't take advantage. A current gen release in September, and a next-gen (PC, PS4, XBOX) release sometime after September, probably next year. Paper Mario
I honestly wouldn't care. The new Xbox is gonna cost way too much to buy at release. Plus, I will have fun with GTA V on my 360 for years!

Destructo
Apart from exploiting each next-gen consoles unique traits, they will take advantage of the consoles power to have much more players in multiplayer for sure - it will be a different but exciting experience to have so many players (zergs). Rockstar haven't talked about multiplayer yet, maybe that's what will be coming with next weeks second round of Previews. I think that multiplayer mode is going be big, since next-gen is made to be social and connected.
Corndawg93
Yes. You are right. Microsoft is still partners with Rockstar. That would make them exclusive to Microcrap
Fisciletti
I'm sure we're not going to play GTA V on PS4, atleast this year.

That would make them exclusive to Microcrap MS is not the type of thing , they love to have exclusive content and not a full game
TheJasonGallant
I'm pretty sure that it is not going to be port on PS4/Next XBOX anyway. If it is, it will be just like they are doing now.... Years later.
Rock Howard
No, probably not. Some of you people really should just accept that for now, GTA V is a release for the end of the cycle of current generation consoles just as GTA SA was for the 6th generation. meson1
Both Sony and Microsoft will be wanting to get some kind of advantage to help them sell their new next gen consoles. It's quite possible that one or the other could pay for a timed exclusive for a next gen port. But that will only work if properly if there is exclusive content of some kind, say, if there was a whole extra heist added to the storyline. I wouldn't have thought that it would cost them too much to do it that way and it would help Rockstar offset the cost of porting the game to x86-64 platforms. I'd imagine that they'd want such an edition to be released pretty close to their console launch if not day one. But Rockstar will want to try to get max sales from their current gen releases first. So IF such a thing is to happen, they will wait at least couple of months after Sept 17th before announcing it; perhaps even after the holiday season, perhaps 2014. But remember, there's a lot of IFs involved here.

Yep. I'm gonna put the GTAV disk in my Xbox 360 drive and epoxy it shut. I'll play GTAV until GTA6 comes out or until the Xbox dies, whichever comes first. Rockstar will have to offer something amazing sometime in the future, to entice me to drop US $500 on a next gen console.
