100% without guides

I've achieved 100% on GTA III, VC, and SA numerous times on ps2 and Xbox and I'm currently playing through IV. I've used guides before but now I'd like the challenge of achieving 100% without guides and only using the stat menu and immersion. I feel like guides ruin the immersion and turn 100% into a chore.

Anyone else have or tried 100% without a guide?

To get 100% playing GTA IV without a checklist you have to be a robot to do that.

200 flying rats is a nightmare even with map. ph34r.gif

the rats are driving me insane! im using the in game map at the internet cafe.

GTA III/VC are so much enjoyable without guides. SA is difficult but i have the advantage since ive memorized everything in that game lol.

That's very impressive, guys. There's just no way I'd even attempt to beat a GTA game 100% without using a guide for the pigeons/jumps/horseshoes/tags or whatever. It just doesn't seem possible.

Someone has to do it though for the guide to get written. Which is crazy to think about.

Actually, the coordinates for all the hidden items are in main.scm (the script for San Andreas): http://pastebin.com/6nANW1hm

I'd agree, Flying rats and Stunt Jumps are indeed a nightmare to find without a guide.

GTA IV is so large to me that it would take me years to find everything without help for 100 percent.
