Durden Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 If R*, or anyone with the correct accurate information release so much as a single polygon resembling the map in any way, shape, or form, not only will I boycott that website/source and try to attack them (unless its R*, in which case I'd do nothing), but I will lose a significant amount of hype and GTAV will seem like a normal game for me, voiding my purpose of being here. Like the teaser site interactive map for IV which was just a black silhouette of each island. Also San Andreas, where they revealed a very small portion of the map each week up until release (or something like that). They won't just give us the whole map straight off the bat. It will be a puzzle up until release no matter how much of it they show. I hope it's not just a black silhouette again. I'd prefer the small release at a time. The vague outline map on the official site doesn't show the true shape or size of the map. With GTA SA, the official site revealed much more detail. My guess was that with GTA IV, besides wanting to be secretive in general, because the map was smaller in area than GTA SA, they didn't want people judging the map before they played it. With GTAV, they might be so proud of its size that they reveal more detail like they did with GTA SA and L.A. Noire. And would it not ruin that experience of opening up the box and seeing the map, having a sneaky look as you load the game? That is when I like to see GTA maps, thats how I caught my first ever peek at the maps of Vice City and San Andreas Why? To put a stop to everyone complaining about the map size, the size of LS in comparison to LC and so forth. Why would it? If people see the size of Los Santos, I would expect there to be even more complaints than there are now, because now we'll know for sure, as opposed to simply pessimistic speculation. GI Already confirmed that LC > LS sqm wise, but obviously people still are skeptical. You are stupid and blind. They didn't say that, they said DOWNTOWN of LS is smaller than Downtown in LC, but LS itself is way bigger than Liberty City, assuming that is the full map of IV.
