Talkboxes

Anyone here at gtaf have experience with talkboxes? I plan to buy a Rocktron Banshee for my Yamaha YPT-230 keyboard soon for the f*ck of it because I have been on a funk binge for a bit. Talkbox thread?

"California, knows how to party" Haha, awesome. My friend owns the Rocktron Banshee and it's pretty sick. But he uses his with guitar. If you are decent at playing keys I'm sure this will be nothing but fun for you.

that is a good example of a keyboardist using a talk box to their advantage.

 

I do want to get one for myself. I play guitar and some synth stuff, I have a MicroKorg. But I know I'd get board of it fast, but that's just me.

I bought a wah pedal, and I was like "Yeah this is gonna be so mega cool!" Played around with it for 2 hours and returned it. As fun as those things are, the novelty will wear off quick unless your constantly using them. It's something nifty to have to add to your collection, but chances are, you won't use it as much as you think.

I'm a fan of hearing talk boxes and they are an easy enough to make device.

Those little things are amazing. I love hearing it in Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do?".
