Most unrealistic mission

Which mission do you think was the most unrealistic and why? My opinion: Local Liquor Store. Seriously, what are the odds of that; bandits robbing a liquor store, shooting a bystander, driving off only to get chased down by a dysfunctional couple, then gunned down and robbed too?

The Odyssey

Is every mission an option?

Seriously though, Green Goo is probably the most unrealistic. Standing on moving trains, jet packs, alien goo.

Everything you guys said is true.

And all of Big Smoke's missions. Like what the other topics and posts said, only OG Loc is much more reasonable. The rest are just "Hey CJ let's go there and that". Especially Wrong Side of the Tracks and Just Business.

Also Freefall.

I forgot a lot of the missions, but End of The Line is retarded. 1 guy blasts through 100 heavily armed guards to get to Smoke.

Indeed.

Anyway, definitely Freefall, not only it's nearly impossible to nicely catch a plane in air, since the plane is too fast, but the player was on the back of the plane, and he actually went forward all the ways to the door, what the f*ck?

Other than that, Gree Goo; Honestly, what the hell? alien.gif

Space Cowboy

Black Project. Ghetto gangster steals 60milion worth military project and after mission he can fly it whenever he wants.

The uncut versions of those missions made sense, but R* did that because it was too obvious that Smoke betrayed the Grove.

Anyway, other than the missions you guys stated, i'd say "Reuiniting The Famillies" mission.

A trick in playing these (any) games is just like watching Movies.

Disconnect the Brain and just enjoy them.

I think the name of this thread should be "Come and Complain about GTA:SA because You Lack Imagination and Need to Blame that On the Game".

Considering that one guy having to blast through about 100 heavily armed opponents is a feature of all GTA Games then that would make ALL them unrealistic wouldn't it?

OP what? That mission Local Liquor Store was actually quite realistic. I could see a robbery like that in a country hick town occuring in real life.

Um, the most UNREALISTIC mission has to be Black Project. In real life it's impossible to get within 10 miles of Area 51 entrance, yet Truth drops CJ right outside the front door. WTF

Vertical Bird. Ghetto gangster infiltrates a military vessel with only about 10 guards on board, steals a jet, takes down a bunch of other jets chasing after him, blows up some boats, and lands safely at the airstrip. tounge.gif

How about Tanker Commander? One shot to the fuel tanker would blow it up for sure but it takes like 20 shots to be destroyed

Actually not. It is the Vapors that explode. So a full tanker would be rather hard to 'explode' by ordinary gunfire. Most bullets are coated with copper or are just plain lead. Neither of which spark.

EDIT: At one time it was suggested to shoot the gas tanks of fleeing criminals rather than the tyres. The reasoning being the fuel leaks out and the car rolls to a stop. However, shooting the tyres caused a sudden loss of control resulting in crashes. With modern tubeless tyres the risk isn't as great but at high speeds is still dangerous.

Reality it's a mere product of our imagination!

Would we have builted rocketships without the imagination of Leonardo Da Vinci or Jules Verne???

Fender Ketchup - mafia guy tied to a car and ghetto man driving him like a maniac through Las Vegas without police attention.

Also, how is the guy's arms tied to the windscreen? Unless there's holes in the glass for the rope to go through I can't see how it's possible. Actually, there are not even any ropes visible. Maybe they used really strong glue to hold his arms down?

Eminence E.

All the missions are unrealistic. But the most unrealistic one is freefall. You should know why. wink.gif

How about in Robbing the Bank at Caligula's - CJ flies like a monkey squirrel from the rooftop to the helipad. Umm I don't think physics can make that happen

Up, Up and Away!

CJ says it's safer to infiltrate the well-guarded military depot, steal the "sky crane" helicopter from there and use it to transport an armored van to the airstrip, than to just jack a Securicar while it is on its rounds and then drive it to the airstrip.

In fact, all missions are more or less unrealistic, but what the heck, they're fun. wink.gificon14.gif

Here's another scenario that's flawed: CJ was able to toss crates like basketballs (during Catalyst) so why did he use a forklift (during Robbing Uncle Sam) when he could've picked them up and carried them to the van by hand?

Edit: I would greatly appreciate someone moving this particular post back to the "WTF Moments" topic where I originally posted it and where it rightly belongs.

Because they had grenades in them and grenades don't weigh as much as guns and ammo. If you miss Ryder the crates explode that's why they have grenades in them.

No doubt I like the game very much, but...

My question is - how does CJ (in that case any other protagonist ) carry 8-9 weapons at a time ?

For example - CJ carries a phone, 9-mm, tec-9, ak47, sniper rifle, spray can, hand grenades, rpg (with 500 ammo) , chainsaw -- all this while wearing only underpants? looks very unrealistic. where does he keep all these, huh? lol.gif

Every GTA protagonist has the ability to stash weapons in his ass. It's a well-known fact.
