Notice how you can faintly hear Franklin say "Yeah whatever" like he can tell its bullsh*t and in that same cut scene Trevor mentions the therapist. I had read the Game informer issue last week.. there they said Trevor and Franklin get introduced for the first time near the chopper.. same situation as the trailer... This is how the tough guys(criminals) talk.. they don't introduce formally.. May be in 1940's.... Mockingly Mic introduces each other in a way we consider formal, but they are all criminals, Mic also must have said some more sarcastic stuff so that Trevor gets back at him by talking abt therapist.. Like, Mic saying "We have to have our tax records sorted, so that the bank can give us LOAN".. ha ha So this is the intro for Frank and Trev.. These are crimeys like someone already said. Well, Mike's a bank robber. Nothing's been said about him being a con artist, though for all we know he is. His tone is pretty obviously sarcastic and the words insincerely earnest, so it's pretty obvious that he's just being himself. That is, I don't think he's trying to cozy up to them, he knows they don't believe him so he's just messing about, really. However, of course, there's another layer to it due to the fact that it is sort of true, even though Michael kind of wishes it wasn't. Trevor is basically his best friend, even though they probably have an abrasive relationship. And Franklin is the son he always wanted, because he doesn't understand or particularly like his real son. So really he's not lying so much as subtly pointing out the ridiculousness and depravity of the company he keeps. Pretty typical R* style dialogue, right there.
