jogy
' date='Monday, Apr 22 2013, 14:47'] Maybe they're doing a split commercial between real life footage and game footage? I think that'd be cool and may explain why the next trailer is taking so long to come out.. Could be. This also could be the 'bald new approach' they were talking about!, things like this! Miss Darko
Well the way I see it is that if it's actually a GTA V advertisement, it's not really a story-related one. That is, I think the situation is actually meant to be happening in real life, unrelated to the game at first, in the commercial, then it connects somehow to the game afterwards, with footage from the game. You know how they do those kinds of commercials. Basically, not a trailer-ish TV spot.

Guest
I'm sure it's fake. Live-action adverts are cheap. We don't care about your budget and how well you can make a real film, we want to see the GAME! That's what we're buying, show us that! EDIT: GTA2 was an exception, they didn't have the technology to make that with the game, but it's 2013 now, R* could easily do it.

DS 17
Was this filmed in the US? doesn't look like it to me. My guess would be a non-US game store or retailer making an ad for GTA rather than a R* ad, surely they wouldn't be so casual about recording it? Seems a bit odd to me. It doesn't make sense in general anyway, real name-brand cars and obviously real people? I cannot imagine this is going to be a R* production. e2a: of course if it ended up being real: awesome Is this the real brand logo of the car in the third pic with the license plate "EBY 37S"? If yes maybe R* changed them into their game logos? If not maybe they will change the brands in the trailer to their own? And could someone check if the V-poster was edited in the pic or if this is real? Somehow it is standing a little bit too much on the right at an angle, so I am not sure if this is legit. Shockenheim > Why shouldn't Mexico city have its own Chinatown? Nearly every bigger city has it. Btw there is always a guy who identifies every spot around the world. That's awesome. Raavi
The car logo looks like it depicts the "chevrolet logo" but in Rockstar style. So it's not the real logo. As you can see. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

And Battlefield and CoD and FIFA and the latest is "The Evil Within" Live Action becomes more and more popular. And Real Life Stuff is not new to GTA as we can see in GTA2 for example. If this is Mexico, are there actually banners already? I thought that type of ads is in the US only atm. Anyways, to me a live action trailer doesnt really fit to gta somehow.its probably a photoshoot and not a filmset
