MikeWh
I will probably have to - the other half doesn't like me gaming (to be fair it's rare I do much of it these days) - if he sees me, hide me!
The__Phoenix
Not really, I mean, they know I play violent games but Im not a violent person or anything, they know Im not getting influeced by a game, so they don´t care that much. My Mom and Dad let me get GTA IV, but when they saw how violent it was, they took it away from me. So I beat them both into a coma with a baseball bat and torched the house with a Molotov. So now, I won't have anybody telling me I can't play GTAV. problem solved @saintsrow; lol, how old are you, dude?
Mr Shade
No as my parents don't mind. Logic with age ratings is severely flawed, I can join the military, drive but yet I can't buy a game.
blakeney
I am 17 years old and am considered underage to play a videogame. Despite this, I'm about to start a career in the military. f*ck logic. lol great job at highlighting our (western) f*cked up society and it's many "ways" Too young to fire virtual rounds from a virtual gun and some pixels depicting a virtual person.... but old enough to be sent to a warzone to kill real people or get real killed Well we wouldn't want you to be mentally effected by firing virtual rounds would we! AuSsIeThUnDeR36
I remember back in 1996 the army were using the N64 game 'GoldenEye' as reaction training. Made sense because it was quite realistic for it's time

Yeah it's true, I had a mate that served in Afghanistan he's was a sniper in the Australian Armed Forces he said they used GoldenEye as 'hand reaction training' because it was very realistic for 1996. Vucovar
I'll turn 17 in July but I don't have any problems in buying it because 1. My parents aren't jackasses who think that a goddamn game is going to turn people into new Hitlers etc. 2. And even if they would be, guys at the local game shop wipe their asses with age restrictions so anyone is able to buy 18+ game there.
Free_Jonte
I'm 15 years old now and my parents allows me to play gta. I also played gta san andreas when i was just a kid, because my older brothers played it, and I wanted to do that too and I loved that game and yes, my parents allowed me to play that game, when i was 7 years old. Snake Without a Tongue
I do. Being 33 and still playing video games is humiliating. Just kidding. I can do whatever the hell I want. I'm old. I'll play stoned, with my junk out, and no one can say boo. It's lonely though because all my friends have to wait until their kids go to sleep. LC 44
Im 28 - so fortunate that even when GTA1 came out when I was 13 - gfx were so primitive my parents really didnt have no problem it. There must be a good number of you who are 12-15 who are keen to play V ( as I would of been at that age). Anyone here who is having to beg borrow or steal the money and play in 'secret' or with the volume low in case your parents find out ? Are there REALLY parents out there who would not allow their 17 year old child to play a 18 rated game ?..and Im not talking religious sects either, I mean regular parents ? When GTA1 came out, I was 18. So I never had that issue. Though I actually didn't finally play GTA 1 & 2 until I was 21. It was the summer of 2001, I didn't really play the missions that much. I found the games to be frustrating and difficult, but putting in cheat codes and causing mayhem and playing a cat and mouse chase with the police was what I found the most fun. Then III came out and then, well, here we are...
