radioman
One question can i download Gta IV from steam into mac os or do i need to download windows 7? Well, since IV and EFLC games are not available on the Mac(III, VC, and SA are the ONLY GTA's available for Macs)...You WILL need to run it through Windows via Bootcamp(or a similar program)-not too sure about macs, as the last one I used was back in 1994 in Elementary school...IV requires either Windows XP, Vista, OR 7 to run and play. Jewstinian
That computer will run GTA IV quite easily. It's more powerful than the GPU in my dedicated gaming machine! You can run Bootcamp for IV. Works just as fine.
radioman
But, one thing that makes no sense, is: Why pay $2,000 for a mac, when you can get a Windows PC with the same specs for way less-less than $1,200? It makes no sense-pretty much just a waste of money? Plus, Windows PC's support A LOT more hardware and software than Macs and are A LOT easier to use and figure out. So, What makes Macs better that they have to be so much more than Windows PC's? Just curious?

I have had lots of windows pc's but they always get viruses and break down so now i am switching to Mac at least they will last quite a while. They don't get viruses that's the only reason. I am not planning to game a lot on this computer just some casual games that are available on Mac like Scania truck simulator and few others. I wanted to build gaming pc with gtx 6702gb I5 3570k with monitor included 1200, but what if it got virus on it and broke down. For the sake of not having to buy another computer for at least 3 years i am going for Mac. Last year we bought a mini Sony laptop for my sister not even a week passed since we bought it it got blue screen of death then 2 months later the laptop got slower it's like a slideshow the voice is fd up when you watch/hear something on it. My computer was all in one Sony desktop with old parts like Nvidia 8400gt lol i installed Flight Simulator X on it and it fd up the the screen it got over heated or something now there is no screen available online for that computer, because it's quite old one. If this Imac breaks down i will be so mad that i paid 2000bucks for it. For playing GTA IV i will not download bootcamp and install windows 7 what's the point of having Imac and having windows on it i hope Rockstar makes GTA V available on Imac i know i can't run it on High but i can run it on medium so it is better than PS3 version

ShotGunRain
I will NOT download bootcamp so i am not going to split my performance. If Gta V is made for Mac without need of bootcamp i will get it and i think it will be better than Ps3 version. he is running on gtx 675M which is worse than gtx 675MX and he is playing on high gets 50+ fps so if i play Gta IV i am sure i can run it on high. Aljohnk
You can last your Windows PC by installing the right anti-virus rather than choosing MacAfee or some stupid anti-virus. For me, I might regret by buying $2,000 dollars for Mac. Well, its your choice though.

Norton is sh*t when it comes to detecting and cleaning viruses. Get yourself a good free anti-virus like Avira and you don't have to worry again. Every since my first PC back in '98, I've never had a PC break down due to a virus. I did get infected a couple of times when I was using McAfee, but it was nothing that a complete format and reinstall of Windows couldn't fix. After that, I switched to AVG, then Kaspersky and finally, Avira. Haven't had a single bloody virus infect my PC since then.
