It's a show about ninjas, and there's different clans of ninjas that have different connections to nature. When Naruto is a baby his village is attacked by some demon or something, but it can't be destroyed so they seal it inside Naruto. Basically, the entire village (save for one paternal figure, who dies) is incredibly weary of Naruto. Also, he's an orphan. The series is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster of self-discovery and making peace with the world around you, like a lot of anime aimed at young males, so I imagine him meeting his mother would be pretty intense. Naruto is about a kid named Naruto that won't stop dick riding a kid named Sasuke. I'm not denying that there are some really badass moments in Naruto, but the whole concet doesn't appeal to me (anymore). I don't even watch this anime anymore.
