Will you ever pay attention to the development and news of a grand theft auto again? like if they announce GTAVI will you visit their site again and stuff? or has this been to much of a painfully debilitating experience for you? i for one will never go to the newswire again after GTAV.

Yes, I have always been stoked for the build up and release of the next game since I played III, it was a lot quicker then, but it still felt intense waiting for the smallest bit of information. I will only think about it after they have announced it though, thus only waiting a fraction of the whole development time. Waiting for VI right after V is released for example is stupid and you will die unhappy haha.

Honestly though, I'm sure I'll always follow R*, even though as time goes I get more patient. The same will happen for others as you continue to come to this site, then the next generation of angsty impatient teens will come along.

For those of you saying no because of the silence, that makes no sense. So rather than pay attention for news updates you would endure a self imposed silence.

 

It's one thing to pay less attention than normal but not following the marketing seems silly. If you care just pay attention and enjoy the ride.

Never anticipated a GTA game as much as I have with V, which seems apparent considering I was too young for GTA IV at the time of it's hype. As for the next GTA, I will most like anticipate it in the same manner I did with GTA V.

It's the first time that I am that active in keeping an eye on every single news about an individual videogame. I'm pretty sure that I will do the exact same thing with guture games of the series.

When they announce the next GTA, I will try do not create much expectation.

 

I'll try to stay away from the GTA medias.

In past GTA announcements, I just noted that Rockstar has acknowledged the plans for a new GTA. It was only in GTA SA that I started following the forum a little bit once the first GTA SA trailer came out, and as screenshots started trickling in. I remember that buildup to GTA SA as a good time, and it didn't seem to take forever.

 

When GTA IV was announced, for some reason, I never got super hyped and never visited the forums. I did really like the GTA IV first trailer. But it had sufficiently ambiguous substance, that I don't recall getting hooked, just waited for the game and gladly got it when it came out.

 

But GTAV.....different story. The announcement that there would be a GTAV Trailer #1 on 2 November 2011, really got me hyped. Then the GTAV Trailer #1 came out, and it was HD Los Santos, I went apesh*t for it, just like the rest of the GTAV forum and most of the gaming world. I was so ready for a wonderful marketing ramp-up, like I remembered with GTA SA and with RDR, but instead Rockstar marketing screwed us in the ass for most of 2012. And I wasted hundreds of hours on this forum, just like I am doing right this second, still waiting for the promised train that has yet to arrive. Total pissoff.

 

So the next time, no hype, no forum, no getting fooled again. Rockstar marketing has a lot to answer for.

It depends. Right now, I have nothing to do, so I sit my ass here in the forums.

If something keeps me busy, then I won't anticipate for a game much often.
