GTA_freakydeaky
Will you ever pay attention to the development and news of a grand theft auto again? like if they announce GTAVI will you visit their site again and stuff? or has this been to much of a painfully debilitating experience for you? i for one will never go to the newswire again after GTAV. The Pizza Delivery Guy
this is the first time I ever have. I must say, it's been a fun wait. This site is awesome. I'll be a marketing watcher for years to come.
Chm0
Never again. This is the first and the last time I do it, stupid marketing pissed me off Edited April 19, 2013 by Mpower

Same here. I never really followed the GTA IV marketing, or any other GTA game. I agree, it has been a fun, yet painful PAINFUL wait.
Liberty2k7
I've been on different GTA forums and interested in GTA news since just after Vice City and I'm 22 now, not sure if I'll ever stop! Been a fan since the original top down GTA, so most of my life basically! None of this is new to me. Sometimes rockstar can be frustrating with the lack of information but when the game comes out it will be worth the wait, just like San An and IV were. RichyB
I don't understand what you want from them. The game takes however long it takes. People like you are the worst sort of fans because you're complaining that it's taking too long yet you'd be complaining if they released it now and it wasn't finished. It takes however long it takes, just forget about it until it comes out, nobody is forcing you to come on here or search for news regarding the game. Me too. It was a nice read with many sad and funny trolls. Many smiles and tear covered rage fists but it was worth it. Did not like the part where R* kept info from us for 6-8 monthes. Did not like it at all.
Hvitdverg
I'll be watching the gaming industry until the day I die. Watching the gaming industry/playing games are my biggest passions, and I really enjoy knowing all kinds of useless information about the industry. Hopefully after I finish my bachelor in Marketing, I'll be able to turn this knowledge into something that will help me in my job as a marketer. Alright, let me give you some hints: 1- Gamers hate female chars who are forced on you and act as a shell. They like a strong, normal sized females who make sense in the events of the plot. Kinda like how GTA does not have female protags but it will seem VERY forced and out of place in the way R* thinks of the GTA worlds. 2- No DLC unless it is kinda big or has a new plot. 3- No DMR. 4- Release video games with 3 years between each other if you want a strong and a loving fan base. Release every year if you want a weak fan base but tons of money and hate from older gamers. 5- Do not help noobs but give them a fair chance. 6- Do not force anything on your fan base like origin and EA. Ta Da! You are now the most loved guy in the industry and every gamer will side with you. Just like Gabe

Dick Justice
I followed Vice City and San Andreas, those campaigns were mostly smooth. I followed GTA IV's marketing, which was rougher than this one, and I'm following V's now. I guarantee I'll be around for the next one.
United_Stealth
I don't know. I did follow sa, I didn't follow IV, and now I'm following V. And I must say, waiting for V is much more painful than waiting for sa. Maybe it's because I'm older know (or was younger back then (14)) or maybe I remember it wrong. Anyway if I can choose I wouldn't spend much time on da forums for VI, but there must be a reason I'm still doing it for V so I guess I'm screwed and I'll have another painful wait when they announce VI >_> Ah well, we'll see. V will make up for it when it's released
ALeSsAnDrO
It's the only franchise I pay attention to. In fact, it's the only game I really devote time to. In the mid 90's it was a fun but kind of irrelevant title in the grand scheme of things. But the leap to 3D really made history. Ever since Vice City, it's pretty much always the same Rockstar-standard type of marketing: release some screenshots, some interviews here and there, mention engine and gameplay improvements, release tid bits of info about setting/characters/story, and that's about it. And of course... no gameplay trailers, never, ever.
TheIllaDopest
Ofcourse I, among others, will. I'm a GTA fan!! if you are a true fan you wouldn't mind the wait, it is for the better. If you are impatient then maybe you should try a different game.
brian.
Let's all be honest - what else is there to watch? CoD is probably a popular answer, and a "given", but not for everyone - other than that, I mean, what else is worth really watching like GTA? GTA is globally anticipated with all groups in gaming, many other games get watched, just not on this scale. All those watched games are being watched by a large chunk of them watching gta right along side their other favorite titles The scale you can imagine there alone says the next gta would get watched as much as any other game if not still more, no matter the outcome of this one my 2 cents. Durden
Come GTA VI, I'll definately be one of those 'veterans' that can contribute and help solve the mysteries of VI with my experience with V. "Guys, look, 3 years ago R* released the GI on November (7?). The next GI may arrive 2 months from now" or "We can extrapolate that the next trailer will arrive XX/XX/201X from the last 2 GTAs patterns". So yeah. I'll definately be back. Maybe not as much, since my life will be the busiest it is ever going to get, but I'll be back.
Habs
I've been waiting for every GTA since Vice City & it always been fun but they're pushing it with V I mean 1st trailer 2011 and the game coming out in 2013... It's worth the wait but sh*t this isn't easy compared to Vice,San Andreas & IV.
SocalsZHP
I just hope other developers don't try to mimic R*'s strategy. After all, that's what this was, a marketing strategy... (those who were around for Max Payne 3 marketing know what I'm talking about lol)

straightandfast
I don't know. Right now? I say no. Sure, it's great when Rockstar give us something but I don't think I could handle all that silence again. If I do follow it I sure as hell won't be visiting these forums during it. At least not as much as I have for V. It'll be ~2016/2017 at the earliest before they announce the game with a release in 2018/2019 (if it's anything like the timing of V). Maybe I'll change my mind after all this carry on us over and I've played V for a good few years.

ReliantRodney
So yeah. I'll definately be back. Maybe not as much, since my life will be the busiest it is ever going to get, but I'll be back. Amen to that. When I can find time to come back to the GTA series I certainly will. If regular people watched us all on this forum, visiting every day, talking about tiny details and speculations, discussing gameplay of a SINGLE videogame they'd think we were mad. GTAfan786
I LOVED waiting for this game. Watching ridiculous trolls going insane, even for trolls and seeing them complain like little bitches. I must say i've enjoyed the marketing technique. f*ck all the haters. But im not sure about the next gen GTA, i might not even get the next gen console.
