Cheating a game & modding a game are completely different aspects... This is EXACTLY the kind of arrogance I was talking about earlier. Who are YOU to say that a modder is making things better for ME? Man, the only reason I come here is for news What's REALLY funny is how you badmouth anyone who doesn't share your opinion about a juvenile video, and unwittingly become the cause of the low IQ you make fun of. When you spend your hard earned money on a product, you shouldn't have to deal with other morons who think it's hilarious to ruin your enjoyment of that product. gta5freemode4eva Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 A good point someone made is that RDR doesn't seem to have hackers and neither does MP3. I've never seen any hackers on them but then I do play GTA more. This looks like a sign that R* are getting better at protecting their games/servers. I hate the hackers. It used to be stupidly fast cars, setting people on fire, spawning you into the jail, god mode, taking your weapons, putting a hippo bin on you or the thing that looks like a dick, system crashing... but the most annoying one now is when they take control of your car whilst your racing and pop your tyres from anywhere. Most people with these trainers can't play the game due to crap skill. Maybe R* could make a room just for modders/hackers. They could call it the sh*t Skill Retard Room or something. FCortez Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Well guys I haven't had any experiences with modders or hackers lately in GTA IV, I'm even not sure if this can be done on the Ps3 but I can see where all of you are coming from and it must be really annoying on the PC when you aren't looking for anything else but the santard modes. What I have to say about all this is that well there is something very wrong with GTA IV multiplayer, I like it and have had great fun with it ever since the game came out but it doesn't do a lot, sure you have a rank to level and sure you have competition modes that are fun but they aren't that much fun for 5 or so years in a row and I can kind of see why these modders are showing up. I used to play a lot of SA:MP and I don't know if any of you guys used to play that but the most fun I've ever had in San Andreas was in modded servers, not that I didn't love the story or the characters or anything of the original game, but there was just something crazy and fun to play in a roleplay server where real life rules applied, in those whacky MTA race servers with survival rings and wierd ass racing tracks that were a challenge to get to the end and none of this came to GTA IV, much less on the Ps3. I must say this made me kind of sad, although I saw it coming it just didn't live up to something that was created by a just of fans. All of this to say that although I understand why you guys don't like these modders, I also understand why they appear and they'll probably be back in V but R* has become quite the elite at protecting against hackers and cheaters in RDR and MP3 (on console, don't know about MP3 on the pc) so those I don't think will be making a comeback but modders well I don't know what they intend to do against those, perhaps costum servers.. either way I'm sure V will be better and more protected. I get back on, and some f*ck with a ride made of wooden pallets keeps running me over with super speed. Five minutes later some guy riding a shopping cart is shooting unlimited rockets at me. I spawn away from him thinking I'm now safe, and he just teleports to my new location. Hackers need to be lined up, shot, then buried with their mods. p.s. I have a friend named Jason who mods, but he never f*cks with other people. The only people he will screw over are fa**ot hackers with freeze cars. Yah, I really do NOT want to see this happen, luckily it does take longer on consoles rather than PC's to hack/mod so we'll get a while of legit multiplayer before it all turns to sh*t.I have a major problem with modders on multiplayer, you'd think Rockstar would make seperate servers for the legit players. A big lesson I learnt after buying World at War on xbox and going online to be confronted with a totally unplayable game as there were way too many cheaters on it. and it will happen with V, its just a matter of time. shame really. Private Mode is only so fun till you actually want to be in a real environment with others. I know at least 16 of my friends who play GTA, the problem is getting all of them on at the same time. satanicaleviathan Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Modding has become was too accessible, and people have discovered ways to make profit from modding, so I think we can expect mods to return in V because I can see people buying mods for $$$. Even when R* think they have everything encrypted, people will decryt it and find a way to insert their scripts like what has been done for IV. I hope that is the reason for the delay, i'm broke, so I play on console, never had a decent gaming pc. s**t, ive never even played on a decent pc since diablo 2 was brand new. i remember people killing me way to easy in mp3, so i just started outsmarting certain players.. flanking tactics, actually putting in the hours to leveling up... but it did get pretty stupid there when i stopped playing. why cant, like others have said, there just be servers for modders/hackers and servers for people who just want to play it "fair?" or maybe rockstar is like the American suburbs, letting innocents die before they admit to having a gang problem... they are based in the states now after all. maybe im just rambling, but i do like to play fair, with nothing more than my controller and my wits. modding is like steroids, hacking is like meth. as nice as it might be in the moment, in the end everyone is pissed and downtrodden. * *if i knew how to do it myself i might sing a different tune, but i don't, so stfu Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
