Will there be a Gameplay Leak 3/09/13 to 16/09/13

It's common knowledge that most game stores get their stock in a couple of weeks before the game is released. This is so the employees have time to get the boxes sorted and the discs arranged, all ready for the release day.

What is the possibility of an employee that has already preordered it, sees the box that arrives and then takes their copy home early, between 3rd September - 16th.

Would it be likely they could upload gameplay between these dates?

My birthday is on the 3rd of September, so it'd be nice! Very doubtful tough, this is Rockstar after all.

 

Though I do remember GTA IV videos popping up on YouTube a day or two before release day. So maybe but I've already voted unlikely.

The game is coming out on a thuesday, which means that 99% of all gamestops will have their copies in by friday/saturday the latest.

I know of several stores who break release prior to the original date.

 

The game will not arrive several weeks before release,

When GTA IV was released most stores got it within the last 7 days prior to release, Rockstar are really careful sending out copies early.

If it leaks it won't be from Rockstar. The only way it will leak is if retailers start selling/delivering early and someone uploads their gameplay. I doubt it will happen any sooner than the 10th September so if it does leak then it won't be hard to avoid it until the game is officially released.

I watched the leaked stuff from IV but wish I hadn't. I think the guy who posted that got into some serious sh*t, if I remember correctly. I don't wanna see any leaks and will try my best not to watch any.

Make friends with someone who manages a local game store, I've been told I can pick one up early. Picking it up as soon as it's in stores, don't know how much information they can fetch from one disk, to be able to see where I'm playing and who sold it, so probably will have to strictly play offline until opening day.

Yeah I remember watching the intro to GTA IV on Youtube when it leaked. Wish I didn't really... But hell I was amazed. A GTA V leak is pretty plausible, they do happen, so hmm maybe.

There will be, I remember GTA IV had videos like almost 2 weeks (I think) before it got released. The one where Niko was driving around Hove Beach & he flipped his car, & the other one where Niko got into a shootout with Cops in Times Square (Forgot what it's called in the Game )

There's heaps of fake gta v videos on youtube but in the week leading up to release I bet there will be a few legit ones. I'll click on play video and if I realise it's real then I'll quickly turn it off. Seeing 5 seconds of actual gameplay isn't going to destroy my first play through which could be in the order of 40+ hrs

and we've seen the trailers which have cutscenes of the game but that's not considered actual gameplay itself. I'm talking about the playing view itself, view behind the vehicle driving, watching a mission walkthru etc. I want to avoid all that during my 1st play through. I'd probably just look it up if I'm really desperate and stuck on a mission but I'll try not to watch anything.

Generally speaking, its rare, because most employees dont want to be fired..but all it takes is one person, so rarity isn't really an aspect.

There is a high chance it will get leaked since it's such a popular game, there ware many examples last year where games leaked weeks before they got released ( talking about console versions )

I think it is a definite that there will be leaked gameplay and I will be avoiding the forums a month before release as I do not want anything spoiled for me about the game.

No game is immune to leaks. Like every other game there will definitely be a leak of the entire game for xbox 360 and ps3 5-10 days before release. Alot of guys will upload their gameplays on YT (which will be deleted shortly though).

Ain't got no time for that sh*t. I'm definitely avoiding any leaks for sure, that will ruin the anticipation and thrill when i play the game.

I'm sure there will be vids in the days up to the release, how can there not be? The only way to really effect that would be to push the shipping date as close to release date as possible, but how close would R* want to go?

 

I remember watching the leaked IV vids and looking back I don't regret it a bit, my amazement with IV didn't suffer at all. For me there is still a big enough difference between seeing it and playing it that it's no big deal.

In fact, I'm looking forward to the frantic searches for leaks, and grabbing them before they get pulled.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happens, but a week or so prior to release I'm not coming anywhere near this site, or youtube. I need to go into the game completely blind. And a store selling early wouldn't surprise me, I remember when Halo Reach was coming out, almost 2 weeks before release there were a bunch of people playing it online where I live.

I voted for Highly Possible and if it turns out to be all true? I expect many Grand Theft Auto V gameplay leaks in this forum entirely. But that's what I think although.
