So yeah its not a mystery, and if you want to have any kind of theory to back it up in the real world, then dunno, maybe at some point in the story he gets it. There, solved. In the tattoo clip provided above, it dissapears with the light as he steps back in the YouTube video, download a 1080p source file for it and you will be able to see the tattoo's small details, where as you can't like the original picture posted at the top on a YouTube compressed video.
