Johan
Texas bombing/explosion last night, you must have heard It was just an explosion not a terrorist attack or a bomb. Anyway I highly doubt they will delay it.

LibertyKing
The last delay of a GTA game due to a terrorist attack was (I think) GTA III in 2001 due to the 9/11 bombings. So unless a very similar incident occurred in California I don't think GTA V will be delayed due to a terrorist attack. World Trade Center Bombings were in 1993, man. I know you're talking about the attacks but I just hope that was a mistake...
NatTwenny
*walks up to OP and shakes his hand* Me: I just wanted to properly thank you for this thread. Its insiteful and not at all a waste of bandwidth. *leads OP to a large "X" painted on the floor* Me: Ok just stand right here and close your eyes. I have a small show of appreciation from the GTAF community. No peeking now! *OP closes eyes and I reach my hand back. I then release and explosive bitch slap upside OPs head. He spins in the air a couple times from the force of the impact and then lands face down unconscious* Me: Thats from all of us. Thanks for the post. But to answer your question - if someone killing 20+ kids doesn't stop this game then I dont think offing a couple joggers will. Stop being an over reactive bitch. Dude. Speaking of over reactive bitch.

goh13
Of curse they wont! GTA as no relation with terrosists acts. Anyone who has a brain with at least one brain cell can come up with that remark. *US media walks in* Here we go again OP: Nah, as long as nothing as big as 9/11 happens, GTA will not have anymore delays. Besides, soldiers die all the time in Iraq and Afghan but they still make war games like COD and BF. Do not forget about Bioshock which pushed the limit of controversy by questioning religion and government. 17.9.2013 release date should stay the same if this world is smart enough. Racecarlock
It won't be delayed. Maybe there was a moment of silence at the office, but you can't push back a game release every time terrorism happens.
PhilGTA1
Why would they blame only GTA for what happened in Boston? Isn't there violent war games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc? And It's ridiculous to blame all the terrorist acts on video games btw.
Hvitdverg
There is a minimal chance Rockstar would HAVE to delay their game if a terrorist attack happened. These are the following reasons. - Terrorist manages to blow up every single shipment of GTA V. - A terrorist kills 100+ people in California 2 weeks before the game is release, and he puts up several tutorial videos on how to do it. Using GTA IV and all the other GTA's as "simulators" I know it sounds stupid, but the media would blame GTA ofc and Rockstar would be in a bad spotlight for quite some time. This is never going to happend, so my answer is NO

Yeah well, I don't see why people are acting like that... I mean, why blaming a game? Even though it would have been to recreate some GTA things in real life, the issue is the person, not the game. I looks like there is some people that like to make a big deal about nothing...

I looks like there is some people that like to make a big deal about nothing... We have been killing each other before we discovered fire. Suddenly, video games are making us kill each other. While video games might be useful to bad people. Like the guy who used COD:MW2 to get used on using a HOLO-sight on his gun or creating maps to plan attacks, that can be said about anything. People watch CSI shows and get ideas on how to get away with their crimes. People use kitchen knives to kill each other. They use cars to run over each other. Are any of these things banned? Hell no! Because only less than 1% does the negative side of the trade. We have to take the good with the bad sometimes. Mainly when the bad is less than 1%. Capricornus
A terrorist attack will not delay the game. You see they continued to release pics containing the use of guns and that whole Sandy Hook school shooting.

Mnxanr
This is a fairly sad topic, but not because of what the OP asked. This is a sad topic because the lot of you are so illiterate that you can't even respond politely and maturely. The OP was just opening the floor to discussion, he was not claiming that Rockstar would delay the game, he was simply opening up discussion. There is no need for personal attacks on each other. In regards to TheJasonGallant's comment, Libertyking was simply asking for clarification because BOMBINGS occurred in 1993, while the AIRCRAFT crashing occurred in 2001. Please people, I realize that this is only an online forum but you make a real ass out of yourself when you do not read what someone is saying THOROUGHLY. baguvix_wanrltw
Short answer: no. Even Obama quoted Bruce Schneier here: "the American people refuse to be terrorized". If he says that what are the chances R*/T2 feel they have any reason to pull out, change or delay anything? Unless of course they had Darkel myth style terrorist attacks in there but I seriously doubt it.
Racecarlock
This is another sign that people have f*cked up priorities on this forum. Real people have been attacked, people have died, an 8 year old son died, and the biggest thing the OP thinks about is "Will a game I like get delayed". I at least sent amatuer videos of the bombing to the boston police on twitter so they could get a better view of the explosion and possibly get a look at who did it or at least what damage was caused. See, I don't care when dogs get killed in a game, when kids get killed in a game, I don't even care when people get tortured in a game. Why? Because they're NOT REAL PEOPLE! This is an entirely different matter. Real people have suffered, real people have died, real people now have to go to funerals of the other real people who died, there's suffering, there's tragedy everywhere because of this thing. And yet all you can think about is "Will this delay a game". Look, there will always be stray animals and starving african kids and homeless people, which is why I don't donate to charity because I feel that doing so would be meaningless because another needy person or animal will just take their place. Even on a deserted island with only two people, one will have to starve or be eaten by the other sooner or later. This is different. There's no excuse for bombings like these. I don't care if you're Jesus Christ himself, that is a terrible act to do to people. I care about this because this violence had no purpose, but it caused real suffering anyways. So no, GTA probably won't be delayed, and frankly concerns like that should be the last thing on your mind when it comes to horrible tragedies like this. baguvix_wanrltw
TL;DR: You guys are all assholes, I'm the moral authority here because I care about people who (presumably) live on my doorstep. But f*ck africans etc, no matter how much money we waste on those "people" more will just take their place. You know dude I usually agree with you but in this case I'll have to extend a warm "go f*ck yourself" your way. We were discussing GTA because this is the GTAF V on topic section. We have an off topic section for other discussions. If you try to explain to me why one death is worse than another just because of geographical location I'll always disagree very strongly. I know it's kind of stupid to say this after arguing about this myself but let's try to stay on topic here.

I'm not saying "Don't discuss GTA on a GTA forum", I'm saying that when this stuff happens people should probably be more concerned about actual people who've been injured and killed, rather than worrying about whether or not it would cause a delay of a video game. Magic_Al
GTA III was delayed mainly because Rockstar's headquarters was very close to the disaster area and people couldn't go to work for a week or so. They changed a few small references in the game but really, the mood of the country in October 2001 was barely any different than right after 9/11. Only some of the shock had worn off. They didn't decide to cancel the game. For GTAV to be delayed by an outside tragedy it would have to be something affecting Rockstar's operations and/or there would have to be something in the game that was very specifically related, like how Family Guy has withdrawn availability of an already-aired episode from a couple weeks ago that coincidentally had a violent Boston Marathon scene.
