flnyla
Hello, My GTA IV is updated to 1.0.7.0 and Textures disappear after 20min of 100% unmodded gameplay and 5min modded game play (consists of 5 modded cars and few modded peds) This makes no sense as my old core 2 duo with a gtx 260m ran this game better. I am at constant 120fps with vsync off and 60 with it on, with or without mods. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Intel Core I7 2600k Overclocked to 4.6GHZ Nvidia GTX 580 3GB 2-way SLI Vengeance Ram 8GB total @ 1866 7200RPM HDD ASUS Z77 MotherBoard Monitor at 1920x1080 No overheating, No corrupt Installation What I have tried Updating ALL drivers Commandline.txt -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -percentvidmem 100 -memrestrict 681574400 -availablevidmem 2 -noprecache -novblank Disabling SLI Removing all mods Reinstalling the game, drivers, Defragmenting Stopping all unused applications (currently @ 2% cpu useage) Using Systweak CacheBoost Server & Regular edition ( not at the same time ) adding msvcr100.dll and msvcrd100.dll etc. to IV directory Please help with my issue, I want to play GTA IV just like you guys! T-ru
Commandline.txt that you use is absolutely useless, what is your windows? Commandline about popping textures must contain only -memrestrict and the number (increase this number until textures become normal or until you get less fps) and -reservedApp 0 (only if your windows is 64 bit). unc13bud
i don't know if i agree with bothering to use commandline on machine that powerful. its a rabbit hole... maybe use attributes like disableimposters, fullspecaudio turn your shadow settings down or reduce the additional processes in the operating system
T-ru
So my commandline.txt will look like-memrestrict 9999999999999999 -reservedApp 0 Yes, try it, despite that -memrestrict must be or not only with 9 numbers, if doesn't work try only -reservedApp

T-ru
Yes, try it, despite that -memrestrict must be or not only with 9 numbers, if doesn't work try only -reservedApp 0 Still not working This's bug which present in San Andreas too. I recommend you to use some good program about defragmenting, also check your background processes about viruses. Clean the registry. Update your vdrivers if you doesn't. In the control panel of the videocard make a profil of the game and in this profil disable all kinds of Antialiasing also Anisotropic and MipMap must be maxed, disable Vertical refresh and Vsyns. Crondom
If you get 120 fps why i get 45-70 fps with radeon HD 7970?
OverTheBelow
If you get 120 fps why i get 45-70 fps with radeon HD 7970? Because this game is very much CPU limited. The game only utilises 3 cores properly, so fast IPC and/or high CPU clockspeed is essential for a high framerate.
flnyla
I appreciate all the help, unfortunately nothing is working, I have Defragged and tried the command lines, Textures still go missing within 5-20min
luceberg
What number are you using for -memrestrict and what is your resource usage in the graphics settings? Also, that GTX 580 has 3Gb in total, which is 1.5Gb per card. Even is SLI, it only uses 1.5Gb, as each card renders alternately.
