This is not related to buildings, street or landspaces. What you see there are the original lod and lod textures of the game because you haven't change them at all. d3jan Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) @methodunderg, @damiann69 Holes appear if you have too big draw distance mod like 10x draw distance for objects that are in big distance and you will have to wait a 2-3 seconds to apper, but on objects that are near you or in a not big distance including lods the holes don't appear. If you noticed the water that is out of the map is disappering while moving the camera and appering again on big distance (with 10x draw distance). Everything that is set between 600 & 800 is counted as small buildings, shops, houses, streets, corner streets and pretty much everything that has two or three floors. What is between 1500 & 3000 are skyscrapers, icons buildings like Las Venturas or San Fierro Central Downtown, highways, brigdes, landspaces, anything else that is considered huge. The problem is that few objects don't corespond to their specific draw distance. Some suppose to be set for 1500/3000 like few lands or highways in Los Santos or Las Venturas. However I do speculate that these were set correctly for not having a possible conflict between game limits. Not only, weather haze is meant to give that mood for objctes that are really far, but on the same time it hides these gaps. I think there is a very calculate method here when the exchange of normal and lods objects happens with haze, how close and far the player is towards them or when his moving in real time by approaching or move away. Removing the haze or the mist content from timecyc, you can see from Los Santos docks to San Fierro or Las Venturas everything. It will give the felling of the game to be in a small box. Only increased DD for trees, etc. .Lod mod makes buildings, hills, etc. appear better from a distance, with textures still appearing HQ. For ex. If i'm in Los Santos the holes barely appear in Los Santos, but i can see big ones in Las Venturas and San Fierro and vice versa. But still this is nice fix I've tested this with .Lod mod and its working perfectly @KawakSallas try to rebuild gta3.img @down no i meant for the fix not this mod in order to make them both work you have to edt the .IPLs... When looking down from skyscraper rooftops I was getting flickering and suddenly crashes when using parachute and this window disappearing bug thing. Because of these two problems, I couldn't release LOD trees mod. That's an alert telling you that somewhere you passed the limit permited, but the game works, right ?
