These guys seem to be legit. That's not exactly what happened. They said they think something would happen in the next few weeks, it wasn't a definitive statement. Heck, wasn't the guy on vacation when it came out? They tweeted something at the time about it which suggested they weren't aware of its release. There are also other factors that has me believing that they are just saying things out of assumptions - versus having any sort of advanced knowledge as they are trying to claim. "Weeks" is a very vague statement anyone can make - but receives more attention because of that logo and notoriety of the publication. I have said too much already. Take it as you will. I was the person that said, the week before GTAV's original Spring 2013 announcement, that it would happen the following week (and an hour before it happened). I said, in August, that the GI cover would be out in November. Said in October the trailer would be out in November. That's actual proper hinting. Not vague statements like SOMETHING will happen in the next few "weeks". They are just making assumptions. And yet people still doubt you If this isn't testimony that you have some form of calculated wisdom, if not inside information, then I don't know what is. OT: I think CVG clutch at straws, as do the majority of publications. Imagine if GTAForums put together our own information outlet such as a blog or official YouTube channel with information. The only outsider you should trust is Game Informer, and we've already had that preview, so everything you see will be through Rockstar social networks or the newswire. They're not claiming to have anything over than jack. All they do is go through all the evidence they (we) have and speculate based on them. They never claim to have any insider knowledge. Obviously not everything they speculate is or will be correct, but they do come up with some very plausible ideas, and their videos are quite insightful. Albert de Silva fit Michaels charcter, and Simon de Silva fits Trevors character. You're probably right, but we also have to remember that he's in witness protection, so as far as we know, Michael could've been told to call Trevor his best friend. Just because in the trailer Michael is introduced as Michael's best friend doesn't mean anything. webbo254 Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 They mentioned around the time of the delay that they expected it to be delayed because they hadn't heard anything about going for a preview of the game which usually happens 5 months before release, which is what happened with Max Payne 3. We are around 5 months from release so maybe they have had word from R* that they can go see the game in the next few weeks and they will have some new info to share. I'm guessing they have been saying this for the past month or so "they expect some big news" because they suspect the previews will begin anytime. But why would they even let him live that close to his family? Wouldn't the protection program make more sense if they moved him to some unknown little town, not a rich neighbourhood in one of the world's biggest cities? It sounds weird to assume that the FIB is like 'well ofcourse you can hang out with your bro, just don't call him that'. Mike & Trev probably just go wayyy back. But even if they're just friends, I still find it weird that they are allowed to have contact. Oh, and OT: I trust CVG. They have a few nice theories, and they always state when they are speculating. The only thing which I find them to be incorrect or poorly informed about, is the map/orientation of LS and the country side. They are always talking about the Alomo sea being far east to LS and do not really seem to have a clue where screenshots are taken. However, I do think that they know a bit more than us regular fans, because the are part of the industry. I don't think they get direct information from R*, but they do seem to have tiny bits of information that they can't seem to share. Who knows, something big is about to happen and they will say 'you see, that's what we were referring to but we weren't allowed to say it', whether that is true or not..
