Please stop making GTA for iOS

Recommended Posts

One main reason GTA should NOT be released for iOS anymore.

CONTROLS!

They are unresponsive.

They don't do what you want.

They are glitchy.

They make the camera go all over the place.

Do you think this is funny, Rockstar?

Do you know how many times I had to redo a mission because of bad controls?

The answer is...

...7 times.

That's right.

7 god damn times.

So please stop spewing iOS games out of your rectal opening.

And you know what? I'll tell you a secret - NOBODY ordered you to buy the game! And even then, you were made by noone to play it! You can even uninstall it and grab your controller or keyboard and use a console or PC! Nobody is in control of YOU in this case! biggrin.gif

Now, can I get those three minutes back?

On the bright side of things, you get to play GTA III/VC/CTW anywhere you go.

Controls are not bad. I find that analog steering works much better than button. Honestly, I wonder how SA will be on iOS/Android. It has a lot of button controls.

This lesson costs you $5 (unless you got it on sale)-- IMO they (not Rockstar) did a good job porting the game over to mobile devices-- is it perfect? No--- perhaps a controller can be synced in a future update.

Don't like it? Don't buy it!

But sometimes it's too late. You have to buy it first to know that you don't like it.

As Spuds said the game costs next to nothing. 5 bucks is about 9% of the average price of games at release in Australia. PLUS, becuase the controls are on the screen all you have to do is look at a few screenshots to work out whether or not you're going to like the controls.

The control mishaps you describe pertain to the PC version too, so my recommendation is to buy a PS2. The PC is so dysfunctional that I'm reluctant to try any other console fearing the controls will be even more wretched.

GTA productions for IOS will continue as long as it entails barrels of revenue. However, I feel your pain in regards to wasting money on trash. You can halt using the junk, but you can't get your money back.

As foe me; I could careless about them being on portable devices. I only play games at home.

Many might flame me, but I think it is better to pirate a game and check if you like it. If you do - go get a legal copy, if you don't - delete it and forget it.

Finally someone who understands what piracy is all about.

Yeah but some people wouldn't bother with buying original game anyway..

If you love the GTA franchise as much as I do, you have no choice but to download it.

I'm not kidding. When I saw VC on the AppStore, I was thinking of all the bad memories GTA III iOS gave me.

Regardless, I downloaded it, because I just HAD to have it.

I'm certainly finding missions in both games easier to complete than I did first time around.

The money they earn from porting these games, can be put towards creating incredible new games, like GTA V.

You moan about the controls, but if they release San Andreas 10th Anniversary, you'll no doubt buy it & then complain again.

If you're that bothered by the controls, buy a compatible controller.

Whom are you asking to stop making GTA for iOS? R* are not reading this forum, so you´ll have the same succes asking this question the wall near you.

I also don´t like IOS and even think that apple sucks. I also think that touchscreen platforms are realy bad for plaing games, but there also people who have complete oposite opinion than me so thay will buy that sh*t for IOS. As long people buing thet sh*t for IOS R* will sell it. If you dont like that sh*t just don´t buy it, like I do.

That is what I wonder about. How is San Andreas of all games going to do on IOS?

Jesus Piece

Honestly, I've really enjoyed GTA III and Vice City on iOS. It's a convenient way to run through a few missions on my iPad before bed and they look sharper than the PS2 versions.

Been working towards 100% on Vice City lately. Just wish it was the 10th anniversary of San Andreas this year. That on iOS would be a nice lead in to GTA V.
