* The whole point of heists is to carry them out successfully with out getting caught DUH.

Exactly.

This is why it wouldn't be smart to buy property. Any movie or real life story proves why it doesn't make much sense. It's flashing how much money you have, but you have nothing to back it up. You just have a ridiculous amount of cash from where? Oh yeah, there's also a ridiculous amount of cash missing in this same city.

Cops definitely wouldn't be looking at recent large purchases that have paper trails. monocle.gif

I'm sure there is a way they could make it seem more realistic to use the illegal money to buy properties not long after a heist. It's not something that is really hard to do. Rockstar can easily make sense of that.

But hey, properties are not there and I'm disappointed. I've just gotta wait and see what Rockstar has in store to compensate for this.

I respect that but why would you be disappointed in a game like this over a minor feature? Don't tell me it's a major feature because most of the people barely used the feature before, regardless how long ago it was. Besides, all three characters have f*cking properties, why are you STILL going on about it? People didn't even think about that.

You are wrong on all counts. In fact you are talking pure bullsh*t now.

This a minor feature to you, but not to me. Property buying means that I have something meaningful and of good worth to spend my money on. I also get a feeling accomplishment and achievement, as well-explained by The Pink Floyd Sound in his earlier comment. Many people used the property feature in previous GTAs, pretty much most of us GTA gamers did. Many people clearly did think about properties because it was one of main criticisms of GTA IV. There was one big thread earlier when Rockstar said there would be no property buying in GTA V, and people still moan about it now. Clearly, many people did think about this.

I'm still going on about it, because someone made a thread about it and I will contribute my views to it, if that's ok with you ?

I think a lot of people are missing the point. It's not the fact that people like buying properties. It's the fact that it's a pain in the arse to have to drive for miles and miles in order to save your game, like in IV. Losing the safehouse in Broker was a complete nightmare, because if you were there, you had a really long trek to get to Bohan. Yes, there was an autosave feature, but that doesn't rebuild your health.

Personally, I don't mind if there are no purchasable properties, but I would like some extra safehouses dotted around the map.

That part is true however. They should just introduce an optional auto-save feature for whoever wants to save the game as soon as possible instead of going a few miles to one of their safehouses.

But like I said, the autosave feature in IV doesn't replenish your health.

Personally, I think GTA should move with the times and use the "hide and wait" technique to replenish your health, a la CoD, Uncharted etc.

I didn't say you can't contribute to this thread biggrin.gif But you're making it sound like as if Rockstar made a stupid move for not adding this feature. Once again, most of the people didn't use it, some did as you say. Rockstar will go with the majority, not the small crew that think this is the most important feature in GTA. It's not a "Real Life" simulator.

You are talking some pure bullsh*t now. And it's hard to have a conversation with someone who talks bullsh*t.

Firstly I did not say it was a stupid move by Rockstar, I said I was disappointed and so will many more if they do not find a suitable and better alternative to no property buying in GTA V.

A lot of people did use the property feature. Read my last comment, I'm not repeating myself.

One of the main and most complaints about GTA IV was that there was no property buying. Now if that constitutes a minority, then you are much dumber than I thought.

Now you look so stupid. Everyone is questioning your bullsh*t claim, and I bet you cannot back it up.

But like I said, the autosave feature in IV doesn't replenish your health.

Personally, I think GTA should move with the times and use the "hide and wait" technique to replenish your health, a la CoD, Uncharted etc.

Terrible idea, and unless the Burger Shot's are just for cosmetics/role playing than we aren't getting regenerating health. GTA is easy enough as is, did you ever play RDR? Imo that game is only playable in hardcore mode because you can just walk right into bullets then run away, repeat. It's boring never having to worry about health.

OT: We can't buy properly but we'll surely get extra safe houses as the game progresses, or does everyone here think Franklin starts the game with that house in the hills?

You claim that a lot of people were complaining about the lack of property. THAT is pure bullsh*t. The main complaints were about the fun factor being removed from SA, like gangs and decent activities, some properties (not over exaggerating like you). Can you even prove that a LOT of people used properties? I might not be able to provide anything, but neither can you.

These threads? That's probably barely over a thousand people complaining. Go outside in the real world and find out how many people liked the feature so much. Ignorant c*nt.

Actually, not even a thousand people. Half of them probably have more than one account.

I'm still going on about it, because someone made a thread about it and I will contribute my views to it, if that's ok with you ?

I didn't say you can't contribute to this thread biggrin.gif But you're making it sound like as if Rockstar made a stupid move for not adding this feature. Once again, most of the people didn't use it, some did as you say. Rockstar will go with the majority, not the small crew that think this is the most important feature in GTA. It's not a "Real Life" simulator.

Most people? Again, I would ask you is this a fact? Could you please prove it? You're basically citing complete drivel, probably based on conversations with your mates.

Could you prove otherwise?

It is the person who tries to state something as fact that has to prove it as fact(GTAFan786). But that's ok Lucid you can jump in with no barring any time.

It's pretty hard to determine the amount of people who complain. You can't just go to everybodies house and ask them ''hey,I just wanted to know if you ever complained about property in gta iv''.Mabye the poster must be basing it on his own experience.I do have to admit,I have seen a handful of people complaining about the feature being taken out,but that is just what I have observed.Anyway I can't certain because there are TONs of gta sites.I can't go on everyone.

C'mon guys, we have THREE protagonists here... each of which all lead separate lives. So right off the bat we have 3 different safehouses. From there we will probably change safehouses at least once or twice (like every other GTA from the 3 era on...) so what's the point of buying even more property when we'll have more than 3 to begin with?

We have the autosave feature, so properties are uselessly useless.

That's what i said before, it was a simple logic. Some guys still think properties should be added (Official General) suicidal.gif It's your opinion, that's fine. Don't think it's a fact that it is an important feature.

Thanks bro, I already have icon14.gif

I have no time for lil' b*tch, e-thugs like him, he's already being ignored and I will longer respond to his comments.

On topic : I just hope Rockstar can come up with something better if they are not gonna give us properties. I'm also interested to see what this economy system they speak of is gonna be like. They really better compensate us man, I tell you.

Properties were useless. You and every other dummy who liked them need to realize that.

What did properties do?

1. Earn you more money to spend nothing on

2. Have save points you never saved in

They're a waste unless they can generate useful things like weapons, guards, etc.

But like I was saying a upgrading property would be nice. Saints Row was nice on that feature.

I guess you never had the abandoned airstrip in San Andreas, or did you never play that GTA?

I found it very usefull and fun, it was my favorite. I want that kind of property in GTA V too.

Yeah definitely man icon14.gif

I know the Saints Row series is not as good as the GTA series, but if there is was one thing I liked about it, it was the property interior customization feature. I really liked that, I thought it was a cool and meaningful thing to spend money on. If GTA had this feature, refined it and hugely improved on it, I'd be really excited to see it work.

Imagine being able to purchase variable interiors from bland ordinary ones to some super-luxury, exclusive designed sh*t !? Man, I'd love that.

Hell yeah! I also think that inherited property will happen, since being able to purchase is out. I'm hoping for a cabin on Mt. Chiliad.

The fact that we can not buy safehouses does not mean we can't decorate them, or use them for something awesome. Just wait to see what Rockstar will do with safehouses.

And by the way, after seeing micheals house I really don't need something else to be honest haha
