ExtremoMania Posted April 17, 2013 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Whenever I'm making an increase of notes in my respect list, I get an error that I have entered too much data on my respect list. Yet other members have some very long and complex respect lists. Can anyone tell me what is the mostly required data needed before it fills up? Thanks for the advice. Actually the same thing happened to me with my interests, I logged out and logged back in and then it started working. Miro Posted April 17, 2013 Share Posted April 17, 2013 The Respect List character limit is 80,000 characters, so I doubt you went beyond that. Most probably a bug or something. Try to do what deffpony pointed above, it might help you. Maybe try to delete the cookies on the board? To do that, go to the bottom of the Board Index, and at the left you shall see a text saying "Delete cookies set by this board" - click that, though it'll log you out and check all topics and forums as read. Since you said that there are 80,000 character limit, does Interests section share the same character limit as Respect List or are they're separate? Aww... but how come Respect List always gets an error that I've put too much data already, even though my Interests section has more BB codes than the Respect List? I'm not sure about that, But I'm sure that the Interests section has much more characters than the Respect List can contain, If you take a look at Waddy's or Kutthroat's profile you will see that they have quite a long interests column. Spotted Hyena Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Well BB Codes don't work in the interests or respect list part of your profile (I presume your talking about the Unicodes?) Now i successfully inserted 80,000 characters into the interests area and it worked so the interest limit is indeed 80,000 however the respect list doesn't have a 80,000 character limit Apparently the respect list limit is 5000 characters only To break it down the interest character limit is 80,000 And the Respect list character limit is 5000 Your respect list count adds up to 1684 so I'm guessing it must be the Unicodes your using more than it seems I'm not an expert on Unicodes but i think one Unicode is made up of several characters (I could be wrong) Hope that gives you a better understanding Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
