ylari
So they said that they are first time using music scores to make scenes more thrilling and game more awesome. I'm just wondering who is this mysterious composer who does this work, because if it's Hans Zimmer i'm pretty sure my console will smoke and blow up from awesomeness. Hans is well known for his works in Inception, Batman, The last samurai etc. He has allways done most amazing job making all these movies a lot better and scenes very thrilling. And i'm sure he would do incredible work with GTA V as he did with Crysis 2 soundtrack. So my question is who would you like to compose the scores in game? My answer is obvious
Miss Darko
All we know is that Craig Conner is a producer, as he has been for many previous GTAs as well as a composer. It won't be Hans Zimmer, though, I'm almost positive of that. R* generally goes for lower profile artists (whom they often have previous connection to). You're the second person to wonder if Hans Zimmer was involved, though. The other suggested that he do something like his Dark Knight score, although that definitely wouldn't work in GTA, I mean it would be way too bombastic and dramatic. If he wanted I'm sure he could do something more fitting in GTA, he's certainly a talented and versatile composer when he wants to be, but it would require a pretty definite change in his style. I have a number of composers I really like but I don't really think their style would quite fit either. I like them all because their music is very dramatic and melodic, something which I don't think would work for the tone of this game. To be honest I don't really expect to love GTA V's score. I think it will work well and be nice and thrilling, adding to the action, but I probably won't be listening to it on its own because I expect it to be fairly generic action movie stuff in the vein of 80's action movies, and that's really what it should sound like, because GTA V will be fun and more than a little bit cheesy. Ash_735
...Hans Zimmer... OH MY GOD NO, NOOOO, Noooooooooooooooooo. Hans Zimmer is great but by f*cking god he is OVERUSED, I feel at this point he just accepts jobs just for the hell of it and does a crappy rush samey score to just claim the money. There's plenty of great composers out there who have a brilliant style, but it's just soo sad that most Hollywood films default to Zimmer because f*ck it, everyone likes the same sound.
