It is the first time, that i spend a lot of time in finding out some more information about the game, as they are given from Rockstar. What I am seeing, at this point, of GTA V is already looking a lot better than how GTA IV looked at this time during its marketing and showcasing prior to release. I just have a tremendous feeling that GTA V will be better the than ones before it. I cannot wait to see how it unfolds. I was a diehard SA fanboy from 2004-2006 or so and had lost interest in gaming in general when I heard that IV wasn't going to be GTA World with multiple cities and planes. Thinking nothing could ever surpass my beloved SA my love for gaming was only revived when I finally gave in and played IV after a long hiatus in 2010. Or you are not because you wont be getting it for some reason! (you are below the age required to play GTA) Are you OR Are you not? I am more excited for Gta V then I was for Gta IV, maybe because I love San Andreas, and Gta IV when I first saw it was weird to me at first. Chriss0906 Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 oh my god. i remember when GTA IV whas about to come out. i whas literally paranoic. i couldnt sleep. for at least 2 days. i whas going crazy. the worst part is that it whas already out for 4 days but in my country it whas on sale for 98 dollars. so i sold my PSP and got it. one of the best days of my life right there. but also i got a little disapointed. so i played it 28 times. but it whas boring at the 3 time. so ontopic: NO i am not that much hyped for GTAV like i whas for GTA IV. BUT! i know its a better game and im really excited. just not as much. but that doesnt mean i dont like it... its just hard to answer that question. im going crazy over GTAV tough. GTA IV had me hyped up the most ever for a video game with San Andreas coming at a close second. However I'm still very much looking forward to GTA V, minus a few concerns and the very long wait. But nothing compares to V's hype. The info drought was a great marketing strategy. Analyzing 1 trailer for 9 months. Scouring Max Payne 3 code for a vehicle list. Looking up cv's of R* developers. The kifflom twitter. All that combined with the fact that im certain V is going to be the game I hoped IV would be, and nothing compares. Agreed and bolded the important line for me.. EvilFuture Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Unfortunately, I was not as big of a fan during the GTA IV times as I was only about 9 or 10 around the time GTA IV came out (but I've always played GTA). I never really known about it until I saw videos of it on Youtube, and I was instantly hooked. I looked and looked for the game on PS2 I know, I was retarded and didn't have anything but a PS2 lol but I couldn't find it, but for Christmas I got a PS3 and that was the first game I got, along with Guitar Hero: Metallica Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was 17 when GTA IV came out and was counting the days with a buddy on our school notes and paying attention to every little detail of the game. Now that i'm older and just graduated college, I really don't have the time and drive to hype myself up that much for a game anymore. It is actually nice because all these games keep coming out faster than I can even play them and I don't even notice the amount of time i'm waiting for a game anymore. I have a ton of other priorities so GTA V gets put in the back of my mind until I see some sort of new info pop up somewhere. With San Andreas, I was really excited because I got involved in the forums. I was excited about iv but I didn't come onto any message boards so it wasn't like it is now with V. Nemesis2252 Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 to be honest, i didnt even pre-order IV, and come launch day i was scrambling around town trying to find a copy. i didnt follow anything about it at all pre-launch..... but with V, ive been on this site at least twice a day everyday. not to mention watching the trailers on youtube over and over and still broswing the same pieces of artwork. something about this game is shouting "GREATNESS" at me.
