FuggitAllMayne
Hi. Never posted here before but I felt like sharing this thought just to get other's takes on it. Notice all the reviews of the game before it's released come before the delay? Same with GTA IV. Then it was delayed, and then the ability to ride vehicles from the outside was taken out as well as others that have slipped my mind. What if GTA V had reviewers play the early copy with all the features, then delayed the game as to take out some of the features that may cost them more money or make the game too slow with the whole package. I hope that's not it but they have a history of having extremely great pre-release reviews, delays, and removed features that were hyped up. Just a thought
straightandfast
No. They delayed it so they could "polish" it. Nothing else. Search next time, please.

Hayze
Pretty sure IV was not delayed after reviews came out.

Meezarawcks
I know a lot of people were pissed because R* left out the fingerless gloves in IV. Oh the horror of not getting things like that in V would make me near suicidal.

Polishing sometimes means removing things that slow FPS. OP has a valid point. Think before you post.

Oh the horror of not getting things like that in V would make me near suicidal. Given the feeling that a number of things were taken out of GTA IV to get it shipped, I would not be surprised to find the same thing happening with GTAV. However, I do have confidence that there will be plenty of great things to do in GTAV. We may never know what great ideas just could not get implemented in time, though. And I wanted the damn fingerless gloves I felt cheated.
MattyIce
Fingerless driving gloves. In all seriousness, I truly believe they only delayed the release to polish up the game, and perhaps to even add in more "toys" and mini games; rather than removing some. I really don't think R* would remove a "toy" or feature they've already shown us via screenshot or trailer. Unless it's fingerless driving gloves. That's the reason rockstar says "we have nothing new to show at the moment". they only want to release 100% correct information.
Pooo_Face
It's inevitable that ideas get added/taken out during the development of anything, whether it's a game or product; but I don't think any company in their right mind would purposely delay a game to make it worse by taking out more features. I believe Rockstar when they say they're adding polish to the game. Polish makes things shine and shiny things make people happy. Look at it this way: This is GTA V today... And come September 17, this is how GTA V will look:
