it was annoying in GTA 4, but realistic nonetheless. I think it should return. Anyone who fires a gun in the middle of the street should get arrested.

Well if that is the question you're asking then my answer is still... No.

Unrealistic in so many ways...

If you were in the middle of the desert ''with a horse with no name'' (SA Reference) and shot a gun then you shouldn't get a star as you are no were near civilization.

Well yea I get what you mean but the thing is its not realistic and since R* have been aiming for a sort of realism in the game they've changed it.

However I don't agree to this happening in the desert and it most certainly will not, I mean if you have no one around and are in the middle of nowhere then it would be really retarded to have police pop-up.

As such I think you'll get what you're saying but only in parts of the map where you aren't near civilization.

f*cking stupid people, GTA IV was a big city where police were everywhere, so you could get chased easily. In San Andreas, no police was caught around the ghetto, You shot someone it was realistic because in LA Niggas die in the streets without getting help for hours. They eventually find the criminal.

This was because GTA IV (Liberty City) was based on New York City and San Andreas (Los Santos) was based on Los Angeles/California.

In real-life, New York City is more densely populated, it has a zero-tolerance approach to street crime, and it has a heavily police presence on it's streets, even in the rough, ghetto areas. It is much harder to fire a gun in NYC without attracting a great amount of attention from civilians or the police themselves, anyone who does that can expect to find that police are are on the hunt for them within a short moment of time.

In real-life Los Angeles, the city's population is spread out over a wide, vast area of urban sprawl, and the city does not have a big enough police force like NYC's to effectively police the whole region. The ghettos and high-crime districts of LA get less police coverage because they tend to be away from the downtown area and more wealthy and nicer districts and suburbs, and it's those areas that the LA police tend to concern themselves with the most. The LA ghettos have a much less police presence and violence and gun crime becomes more common place, so firing a gun in the streets there would not attract too much attention from the public, and because of LA's vast size, it's smaller police force and their bias, the police more often than not will take a long time to respond to something like someone firing a shot in the street.

If you're in the city or somewhere near, and you shoot a gun, then it's realistic to get chased by the police. If you're somewhere where no civilians are, such as in the desert, and you shoot a gun, then cops shouldn't come after you.
