Don't get me wrong, R* said the map will be the largest map and I'm sure it will be an awesome game. But: Since R* said in their last interview that you can travel through Los Santos and Blaine County I got quite worried. Blaine County seems to be pretty dry and desert-like. What I LOVED in San Andreas were the farm areas and the forest areas where you felt alone and far away from the city. All the variety. I'm just worried that the whole map will be "desert-ish". I want areas like Flint County (sry for the large screens..) or Back o Beyond Just areas where you feel alone and far away from civilitation, like Truth's house up on a mountain in a forest in San Andreas... for example. I want a lot of variety, only desert and mountains would be boring in my opinion. What do you think? Will cold forest-like areas, green areas, etc. be in the game or will it only feature Blaine County with a desert-like countryside? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There were some small towns but rest was pretty empty dessert and alamo sea. Probably there is like a huge second part of the map ( considering the user made map ) where u have way more forest and stuff. Imo there is a huge part behind the mountain row where the train goes into the mountain. But on almost all screens (except grapseed) i do notnhave this feeling. A huge thing which supported what u mentioned is that the drawing distance was very low. In V u can see los santos from all over. They show Alamo Sea/parts around Alamo Sea, parts of Blaine County near Los Santos/Alamo Sea and Los Santos itself. I'm sure/I hope there is a f*ckin huge part of the map R* has not shown yet (behind Alamo Sea, east of LS and West of LS). @sibs44: Ah ok, sounds good. Hopefully there are huge forests and farmlands in the game, they should be as "creepy" as in San Andreas. The old wood house at mt. chiliad for example. Or places that are pretty far away, like Truth's house up in the hills of the forest near San Fierro or areas like hidden farms, old houses etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Deserts, forests, one big city , and all the other places you can remember from GTA SA. And one new thing: a dynamic and realistic ocean. Not a boring lake, with fake fishes... It will be some times bigger than RDR and this was bigger than GTA SA. I'm sure: We will not play only in desert, outside of Los Santos, in GTA V.... I highly doubt its snow That's weird since Snow top mountains are about 1 Hour from Los Angeles City in Real Life. but somehow rockstar are excluding them and adding a Salton Sea look-a-like which is 2 and a Half Hours away. Lets just hope that there are Snowy Mountains in the game based on San Gabriel Mountain Range, Cant wait to drive (the mustang in T2) on snowy mountain roads!! Also they should make it really foggy up their so it feels bigger than it actually is and would save disk space.
