GTA2THACORE
Well I was just brainstorming and this idea came to mind, so how would you guys react, if Rockstar added a feature of adding your current weather conditions to gta v, by receiving your weather conditions through your internet connection? So whats your thoughts on this idea?
CaptainCapri
No... I live in the North West of the UK.... I do not wish to play GTA V in constant rain, snow, hail, windy, cold and dull conditions. I would like to play GTA V in sunny, bright weather with the occasional rain shower, storm etc.
Tycek
Not that good idea. Seeing snow in the LA, only because I decided to play my game in december? Nah. IIRC there were similar option in PGR4, but instead of your weather it was checking the current weather at the places you were racing thru (NYC, Sankt-Petersburg, London, etc.) and applying it to the game. Such option wouldn't be bad, but GTA being set in one particular location isn't good game for that system. What kind of weather you can get in LA except sunny and rainy? You don't need any complicated system to simulate that.

ALeSsAnDrO
The problem with that idea is that not everyone who plays GTA lives in the same place (areas with a climate similar to LA). And, since the game is set there, it wouldn't make sense for it to simulate all possible weather conditions. A similar, but simpler, idea would be retrieving your local time (via your own console/PC) so that it would always reflect in-game the time of day of your region. That way, if you were playing at night, the game would adjust accordingly.
Chris Fromage
I think the weather system in GTA San Andreas was good enough. Maybe some snow on the top of the high mountains, but not more.
JoeM
Nah, it's always raining here, id rather they kept the previous system so I can see a sun set every now and then

73duster
NO. I want the weather to change more often than it does in real life. It would suck if you were completely at the mercy of your local weather.

In GTA IV, 2 minutes in real time = already 1 game hour. Anyway, this kind of things would be optional of course. Anyone could just turn it off. So whats your thoughts on this idea? How can you come up with such an idea, without giving yourself the answer that about 90% of people on earth complain about their local weather? (Yes, I made that number up). It's set in LA, which has nice weather the whole freakin year. No, I would not like to have a semi-cold, rainy, sh*tty weather experience like in The Netherlands. AuSsIeThUnDeR36
LoL Imagine playing using your local time. If you usually play at night like most of us, then the game will always be dark, not a good idea and it would be unpleasant to not have the sun out

DODI3OG
Another "silly" idea. Adding your Real-time weather in-game would ruin the Southern California Feel of GTA V. Look at GTA 4, it had a dark story, and it rained frequently with grey clouds together with the greyness of the game. It made the theme perfect. Imagine if sunshine was frequent in Niko's story...How would that reflect to the darkness...

jperkovic
so what do you guys think they should change in GTA V about the weather? I would love to see that after the rain, the road stays wet for more time than in GTA IV, not for too long, but a bit longer than before. That last screenshots we saw showed they did improve weather, pictures with thunders and rain looked very good to me. Maybe they should make that it snows in some areas up on the mountains too...
