HugoMoreira
How many missions do you think that GTA 5 will have?I think 200 will be cool
Shoumaker
I feel GTA V will have around 120 missions to be completely honest with you so that would equal to about 40 missions per protagonist. It might seem a bit too much but GTA V is Rockstar's most ambitious game yet and 20-30 missions per protagonist would seem a tad less in my liking. I also don't think R* will be able to write a good enough story if they don't make it as long or longer than the stories we have seen in past GTA games. Shoumaker
Yeah that would be cool,i think that San andreas haved 200 right?GTA 4 was 90 and was very hard It might seem San Andreas had that many missions but in reality the game included 96 story line missions compared to 88 in IV. In my personal opinion I actually found GTA IV to be the easier game of the two because most missions consisted of shoot-outs when in San Andreas there were Flying missions, RC missions which made some of the missions in San Andreas almost impossible to complete back in the day. Since planes are returning in V I can only hope things will be the same again.

iNero
They already said that its about the length of RDR which has 50 missions. It will defenitly not have as many as 4 and SA thats confirmed
Johan
As much as it takes to have it 40 hours long at least.. probably 120 or so but I wouldn't surprised if it had 100 tops

It will defenitly not have as many as 4 and SA thats confirmed When did they confirm this actually, sorry I haven't been keeping up with GTA V news lately. Can you link me to the source please? I find it very hard to believe that this game will only consist of 50 missions. Adriaan already said that the 25 hours of game-play thing was also a false claim and that it would be longer than this and I don't believe it will take players more than 25 hours to complete only 50 missions so I'd say Johacamigames has it right. iNero
Was when the Previews of the event were released: http://www.examiner.com/article/new-gta-5-...etails-revealed They havent mentioned a time but compared to RDR. rjmthe2nd
Storyline Missions GTA VC Had like 58-70 something missions. GTA SA Had 105 Missions. GTA IV i think 58 Missions GTA IV DLCS Had about 20-30 missions. And GTA V im guessing 40 missions for each protag.
Calanguento
I wish there are around 100 missions, the map is huge so it will easily fit them all. Plus, I want variety like GTA: SA.

So u can co sider like they did. Even though RDR missions were pretty long due the long ranges u had to ride in many missions I guess you were referring to this: As for the length of the game, Rockstar said that the main story alone lasts about the same as Red Dead Redemption. So about 25-30 hours. They have said the story will last about 25-30 hours (Similar to Red Dead Redemption) but no where have they stated that the game will only consist of 50 missions because like I said that would be too less. Also, Adriaan already said this claim by R* turned out to not be true so there's that.
iNero
They havent said its 25-30. They said its about the length of RDR which had about 50 missions. And missions were longer due long ranges u had to travel during the missions. They were a bit longer than GTA Missions. And 50 Missions in 25-30 hours sounds realistic. U can complete GTA4 in that time if u want to. They also said that they wanted do not do the same mistake as in GTA4. They said 4 was too long and had too much repetetive missions. Though San A dreas had about 100+ missions and they had a very wide variety and almost no repetetives. nontheless they said its about the same length as RDR and imo thisncould be too short if u watch the size if the map. "Other things to do" do not really make this better if we keep in mind that they give us Yoga........
killahmatic
I'd guess 85 story missions, plus side missions.

In the article it says 25-30 hours iNero, how could you not see that especially since you're the one who linked the article to me? Here's a snippet just for you. Again 50 missions is simply not enough for a GTA game especially in V since we now have three protagonists. You said it takes GTA IV that much time to complete and IV consists of 88 missions if you didn't know that by the way. So how could it take 25 - 30 hours to only complete 50 missions? The thing is it won't (It'll take a lot less). Especially because the way GTA missions work are different to RDR. The article didn't even imply that GTA V will have only 50 missions if you read it carefully, all it said was that it was going to take as long as it did to complete Red Dead Redemption. iNero
R* did not say that!!! The journalists just did asume it as R* said its about the length of RDR.... thats it! And i meant that u can finish GTA4 in that time if you run through. Far Cry for example had only 20 missions and its playtime which was given from ubisoft was 20 hours for only the main missions. I dont know how double the amount of missions would still fit the fact that its about the length of RDR.... What else should they mean when saying it has the lenghth of RDR... Shoumaker
R* did not say that!!! Adriaan already said that was false so I don't know why we're arguing on this still. All I said was that's what was written in the article. Far Cry for example had only 20 missions and its playtime which was given from ubisoft was 20 hours for only the main missions. Far Cry and Grand Theft Auto are two completely different video games and I wouldn't bother comparing the two if I were you in all honesty. I dont know how double the amount of missions would still fit the fact that its about the length of RDR.... What else should they mean when saying it has the lenghth of RDR... You don't seem to understand that the way missions work in GTA are different to how they work in RDR which is why we need a lot more in GTA V. What the journalist meant by that statement was that it would take GTA V 25-30 hours to complete like RDR. Nothing else. For the last time, he did not imply GTA V will have 50 missions. Shoumaker
I never said I believed the journalist in the first place GTAfan786 especially since Adriaan already claimed the 25-30 hours thing was false (I think this is the third time I'm saying this now). I was only conjuring up facts which were written in the article, nothing else. In my initial post you will see me estimating this game having about 120 missions.
