universetwisters
Do you think we'll have some kind of reference or nod to Chris Dorner? In case you didn't know, he was an LAPD cop who flipped sh*t and went on a killing spree and ended up being killed.

In case you didn't know, he was an LAPD cop who flipped sh*t and went on a killing spree and ended up being killed. It has already been discussed before I believe. But to answer your question, probably not. R* probably wouldn't take a chance with something like that, it might get them in trouble.

LegitSpades
Didn't that happen around February? R* is about done with the game. All they're doing now is just polishing.

VickeX
No matter how corrupt and terrible the police force nothing justifies killing anybody. There's nothing to win by featuring a character like him in the game. However Rockstar always shows corruption within the police force in GTA titles anyway and they most definitely will again. DODI3OG
IMO, it's in Rockstar's Agenda to make people happy, but has never been to offend. There had never been parodies of shootings in the game.
SunflowerSeed
I still think chris dorner is a rockstar san diego sleeper agent who went on a killing spree to get people exciting about the game. It is set in las angelas and you kill cops the whole time and we can go on mountains and the cops are more advanced so these were the things they hyped up with agent dorner. That is why they were silent for a few months because they thought he was just as good of hype as another trailer

LTA1992
I wouldn't call killing a select few a "Spree". And the WTC site wasn't in GTA IV because it's LC, not NYC. 9/11 never happened there. P.S.: Ground Zero hasn't existed since cleanup began. Now, it's just the WTC and 9/11 Memorial.
Pooo_Face
I doubt it but if they did, it's be subtle — like a burnt out cabin in the woods somewhere. No body or reference to LSPD.

El Tarantula
That's not how developing a game works. you can't just stop to cram something in during any stage of the development. no way in hell will there be a reference.

If the map was already done and they included a rendition of Big Bear (where the final standoff took place) it wouldn't be too hard to take an existing building and throw an Easter egg in there. I don't think there will be a mission or a Dorner type character though.

No they didnt Rockstar says: About 1% different. We removed only one mission that referenced terrorists and changed a few other cosmetic details – car details, a couple of ped comments, lines of radio dialogue etc – the game came out a very short time later. The biggest change was the US packaging which remixed the previous packaging into what became our signature style – because the previous packaging [which was released as the cover of the game in Europe] was, we felt, too raw after 9/11. All of the more extreme rumours are amusing but impossible to have been achieved in such a short period of time. There is absolutely no proof of the twin towers existing in a III beta. Bad america...bad It's not confirmed, but it's believed that he actually took his own life. He was in a burning cabin in Big Bear in a standoff with police, and they heard a final shot from inside. Gunshot to the head.
