Whenever writer's block hits me, I usually just think about where the story could go and remind myself of key points so when I do snap out of it, I have some good direction to go in.

My favourite is from an Indian poet who weeps on his deathbed I've posted that before but ill dig it up and repost later

Ill admit it, it's not brilliant writing nor is is groundbreaking story wise but I'm enjoying it

It makes me tempted to restart the story of Thames City....

I've been posting city f lies on fanfiction.net and going through it I've found myself enjoying reading it. I've proof read it of course but I never just read it

Well Eminence has wandered off into Oblivion so that means I can't shoot Mokrie. Joking.

 

Anyway fun question, when Eminence retires as Forum Leader of WD who do you guys think should take over? It's a tie between Tony and Mokrie for me. Ziggy erm can't imagine him as a Forum Leader and VP will turn this place into a spam section for sure , Typhus doesn't seem to fit in either and Tyler is already a Forum Leader. I think Tony would stand a chance because he has been here for 7 years.

First stories never are, usually. I think I started hitting my creative stride somewhere in Return to HC. If I ever decide to do a reboot of HC, I'll probably just take all the best bits from all 4 and integrate them with one another. The most dynamic stories, missions, etc.

I'm not Mod material. However I've been here for almost six years counting tomorrow. I don't think I'd do much good as a mod. Either way, Eminence, retire? Doubtful.

In what sense, that he says writer's block doesn't exist, then says it does? I think when he says it doesn't exist, he means in its traditional definition: something that stops you writing. He thinks that state of being unable to write isn't stopping you writing - it is writing, it's a part of the process.

I have grown incredibly weary of the 'writers block' business.

 

The issue is action, the unwillingness to take action. And I fear that a great many who complain of some kind of creative blockage really owe their malaise to a fear of failure, a fear of expressing themselves and falling flat on their face. And soon, all the mundane 'important' things get in the way of them ever writing that story or drawing that picture, soon, they gather around them all the excuses they'll ever need to abandon their dreams and spend their days carping about what could have been.

 

Not all of us are creative, but I seem to be developing a growing distaste of those blessed with a creative spark who waste their potential.

I think we're all looking forward to his magnum opus, I've heard its going to be called Kane and Lynch 3.

Ironically, his story which was based on two conflicting theories, was really just GTA V condensed. He was going to base the characters on Michael and Franklin and it'd turn out to be another piece of sh*t written by a stoner with too much time on his hands.

None really. Busting through writing up the first draft of Innocence & Loneliness which is coming along nicely. Once I've gotten the first Act done I'll probably start re-writing and uploading. I'll see if people still dig it.

Damn, the cockroaches really swarm outta the woodwork fast. It's not like they were keeping an eye on things at all. And to be honest, we're kinda glad you threw your story away. It had GTA V written all over it. And 'obtain' is such a loose word. You mean you're moving onto other categories to cheat in? Sweet.

 

Not like we cared about your writing much to begin with. You should be happy though; your name is now a euphemism here!
