The responses were overwhelmingly negative; I got the impression that most of our members are angsty young men who spend their day wanking, playing Skyrim and bitching about how lonely they are on GTAForums. The worst part is that they/you give each other sympathy- and let me tell you: you don't deserve it.. Most of you are between 15 and 20, and your grammar is atrocious, you don't seem to do anything particularly interesting, you aren't knowledgeable about any subject other than video games, you aren't politically aware and you bitch and moan and bitch and bitch like it's somebody else's fault, like the other people in the world should feel guilty for lording their brains and looks and competence over you. A few weeks ago I read an article on Cracked.com. The general thesis was that most young males are whiny little pussies with no confidence. The opening words of the article were "The world only cares about what it can get from you." Brilliant. Nobody could ever say it better. The author went on to post this video: There you go: I don't care that you're nice or honest or mild mannered, neither does the girl you like, nor your teacher, your boss or your friends. They want someone who combs his hair in the morning, they want someone who looks good, they want someone who speaks Japanese. The world only cares about what it can get from you, but that can be anything. You don't have to hit the gym or do great in school, lord knows I don't do either. You just have to offer people something. You like movies and TV? Great, but stop consuming your entertainment passively like a jaded, slobby twat and become an active, intelligent viewer who grasps the nuances and the defining characteristics of shows and movies, people will love it when you explain the subtext behind their favorite show to them. "Oh you're really into such and such show? I hear it's an allegory for blah blah blah" Boom. Instant new friend. You all like GTA enough to join a site called "GTAForums" but couldn't write more than a paragraph about the subtext or even what it is that draws you to the game. Go on, try. I'm grading you. You hear people talk about the news? Watch it, get background on the issue, develop a skill for political discussion and people will love that you can give an interesting perspective and educate them on what they don't understand. You don't like your appearance? Get a better hair cut, buy some nice skinny jeans, a leather jacket, pointy shoes... people complain about girls being shallow but what do you expect when your t-shirt, baggy jeans and over-worn trainers just scream "I don't care about my appearance because I have no ambition and am happy playing WoW all day." Even if you're butt ugly some trendy clothes are half the battle, the rest is confidence. Most girls don't care about looks, but if you're embarrassing to be seen with because you look like a slob they won't even consider dating you. Get some life skills. Do everything I mentioned, learn another language, read about science, expand your vocabulary (when you see a word you don't know, look it the f*ck up, all of a sudden you'll find that you're a super genius), learn to f*cking cook. Or something but f*ck... take your god damn whining elsewhere if you're too much of a little bitch to get off the couch. I was in that boat a couple months ago, but I started going to church, worked out more, and stopped doing drugs. Life's not fair but you have to make the most out of it. (And it'd a bit hypocritical that you complain about the complainers, basically telling them what they should do without saying what have you done in life.)
