I hope the 3rd trailer shows some evidence of a good number of enterable environments in the city.

Can we assume from the 2nd trailer that some office floors will be accessible ?...I would love this (not the low floor Lawyers in GTAIV) but a office setting with a view.

Well did you see when Michael was rappelling down the IAA or FIB building in one of the screenshots which is also in trailer 2? It shows the office view with the computers and stuff, it is most likely to be an enterable place.

yea, but probably only one or two offices.

Im really hoping that there are a significant number of enterable buildings. At least the important ones, like banks, major businesses, police and fire stations, and some random homes.

@The Scottish Guy.

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks. There's not alot happening to the north east then. There's some red rooftops at the top right, but no urban sprawl. This area should represent the Pasedena area. If there's not much here, I wouldn't expect too much to the north of Rockford Hills either. Hopefully the next trailer will show what's to the north, and also east of downtown.

Hollywood Lake and Dam

GTA V Dam

The one thing I recently found is that their is a dam like the one in GTA V that is in front of the Hollywood sign, so I wonder of the dam shown in the screenshot is in

front of the Vinewood sign. If this is the case it could point to Los Santos being much larger than GTA IV. The reason being is that Los Santos (though might have

an urban area the size of GTA IV), might continue out beyond its urban core until it blends in with the country side rather than ending abruptly like past GTA games.

Bro, it Los Santos just don't look that big to me from what I can see in the pics so far. That screenshot you have just shown, even demonstrates to me more why I think LS don't look very big.

Im not saying that the city center itself is big, but rather that the city has more than just the traditional urban environment.

In other words the city includes some areas in the mountains and the urban center is only one part of the city. Either way

I agree that the urban area of Los Santos isn't that big.

Yeah but dude look at the position of the observatory in the dam screenshot... which tells us we're sitting at an Easterly position in that screenshot... looking sort of south-west.

The Vinewood sign is off to the right hand side of that screenshot.

Well done.

Good points. These reminded me of this part of the Griffiths Observatory screen below. It's clearly an additional body of water; compare the distance to the Observatory in the Los Santos Dam screenshot, then compare the shot below.

Let me tell you something about Los Santos

It will NOT be small, every screen you f*ck boys are judging it by are aerial shots. It will be MUCH bigger from a street level perspective.

Remove 'f*ck boys' bit and you've hit the nail on the head.

Who really cares if LS city isn't that big? We've spent the last 5 years in only city. A slightly smaller city should be no problem considering the large countryside we'll have. Not to mention the towns scattered about.

It's a gonna be big as f*ck, stop whining, they've only shown us the same areas but in different angles, also the game isn't out yet.

I love how its been confirmed that Los Santos (the city) covers more square mileage then Liberty City, meaning, LS is bigger than LC.

Another thing i noticed is that everyone is only comparing the urban epicenter of LS forgetting that the hills and mountain-living also counts as LS (Rockford Hills, Vinewood Hills, etc.) It seems you guys only count the city up until the feet of the mountains/hills

LS is bigger - LC is more concentrated

From what you saw, did Los Santos, the city itself (not including mountains/countryside/etc.) appear bigger than GTA IV’s Liberty City?

Los Santos definitely covers more square footage, just as the sprawling Los Angeles metro area does compared to New York City. But just like the real cities, if you’re wondering about the density of the downtown area, Los Santos proper is smaller than Liberty City.

I don't think the majority of complainers have an appreciation for what Rockstar is trying to achieve. Either their expectations are ridiculously unrealistic, or simply cannot enjoy anything without putting everything under a microscope for scrutiny. In my opinion, GTAV is going to be an amazing game in spite of several absurd observations by those who keep finding something wrong.

Observations such as:

1- Map size being too small. REALLY? Even if you aren't impressed by the landscape screenshots, Rockstar's confirmation that this map will be larger than GTAIV, RDR AND San Andreas COMBINED, should have been enough. Even if this technically includes interiors and underwater areas, this is the most ambitious map in video game history. There are larger maps, but they PALE in comparison in terms of depth and complexity.

2- Graphics not being all that. This is another case of BAD comparisons to either the wrong type of games, or dumb PC superiority complexes. RDR was amazingly beautiful, and open world games are meant to be seen in MOTION. Even the screenshots display a remarkable improvement in draw distance, which will be the most noticeable graphical achievement in the series.

I understand that people are running out of things to discuss with so much time left to go for the release, but most of the complaints are flat out dumb, in my opinion of course.

Precisely. I don't get why some people don't consider the surrounding residential areas in the hills. IMO they look like the best parts of the city.

That's just my point guys.

If Rockstar are gonna do a very realistic re-creation of Los Angeles in GTA V with Los Santos, then at least they should make an effort to do it the best they can. Downtown LA is not immediately surrounded by hills and mountains, it is immediately surrounded by many square miles of sprawling urban centers and suburbs built on flat land, the hilly, mountain areas are very far way. I'm not saying Rockstar should have made an exact copy of LA in V, but they should try hard to make it as realistic possible. Looking at those pics, it's not the case, because downtown LS is immediately surrounded by hills and mountains, which is a very distorted way to re-create LA.

Look at what I mean : http://www.pachd.com/free-images/los-angel...-angeles-05.jpg

It's not just the size that has me complaining, it's also the amount of skyscrapers on the LS skyline, it looks too small as a video game re-creation of the real life LA skyline. It should be much bigger than it looks now. Look at Liberty City in GTA IV - just look at it's incredible, dense NYC-style skyline. LS's skyline looks nothing like a worthy re-creation of an a LA skyline so far.

Just because it's Rockstar, I'm not gonna praise them all the time. I'm sorry if I see faults I'll point them out. But I'll reseve my final judgement until I see more images, get more info and actually play the game.

If ppl didn't offer constructive criticism we would all be going bowling every ten minutes again in V. I know V will be the greatest game around for some time, but I can concede it won't be perfect. And from what we've been shown so far, the city looks small.

Liberty City is not a so great version of NYC.

Saying that LS is too close to mountains is like saying Midtown is too close to Downtown.
