Confused/mad

Okay, I'm hearing now that R* has changed VC and made it into sections again that you must 'unlock' be completing missions. Now is this true? I don't want guesses, I want proof, what's the deal here? For a long while everywhere it said: "VICE CITY OPEN FROM THE START, EXPLORE THE CITY FROM THE BEGINNING" and all that stuff, now it all of a sudden just changed. If it did I'm pretty mad. Why would they do that? That was park of what made this game so much better, and they went back to the GTA3 style... Hmm... anyone with proof or websites telling the truth please respond. I'm very confused and mad right now... :furious:

Well, it's not like GTA3, because it's going to be one big city and not three sections like 3. But certain areas such as maybe the military base, if there is one, might be closed off until you do certain missions.

I think it was good in GTA3 where you were rewarded with a new part of the city so to speak.

i dont know what i would prefer at least with it divided into sections you can learn the area easier etc. the possibility of u being able to get a helicopter at the start is slim so as samoth said some smaller parts if not the whole thing will be cut into parts

It is in sections, there are islands, like GTA3, you can see the bridges going across the water, and i like the island idea.

That's sh*tty. I liked the idea of it being open from the start. Much more realistic. I never liked this whole unlocking islands crap.

I would like it if the other parts would have to be unlocked, it realy gives you something to play for

Spliting up the city is a good thing. Saying that it's bad because it's not realistic is just a lame excuse. GTA3 was not realistic, GTAVC is not realistic. You get shot, you're fine. You fall off a building, you get back on your feet. You crash a car into a wall at full speed... and you're fine. GTA games are meant to be fun, not crime simulators. By splitting up the islands it will give you something to aim for, and you won't have seen everything by the time you finish your first play

Yeah, what is up with that? In GTA1 and 2 you would die if you fell from an height and your car would explode.
