glitch I don't know how though . one of the parachute glitches???? when you open the parachute but still falling at great speed....although you're in the parachute animation (after been opened) ONE OF THE MOST ANNOYING CHUTE GLITCHES!!!

Flight school!!!! I could not get past it. seriously I had to have someone do it for me

 

Also when someone pops up you have to shoot, you go to aim and stupid CJ ends up aiming at a wall or a car or some random ped >

 

And even though it's kinda funny, if I kill a few people and I'm trying to collect their $, the ambulance comes rushing in and runs me over most of the time.

The whole storyline, and CJ in general. He starts in the hood, leaves the hood and makes something of himself all around the city, while complaining non stop about how bad it is (even when he's got it pretty good when you compare him to other protagonists circumstances). Then to top off the grand finale after obtaining a stake in a casino, private airstrip, a garage and car show room, he throws it ALL away to go back to being a dumb gang banger in the ghetto just to please his stupid ass brother.

What most often pisses me off is that the police will not protect CJ if someone attacks him, but if he fights back the police will go for CJ. I have one time tried the PC version and I got the impression that this problem is smaller there, because cops would sometimes attack the people who attacked CJ. But on PS2 v1 the police is nothing but a big pain in the ass, they don't understand justice at all.

The most annoying thing for me is when flying around and a tree shows up from nowhere and it blows up the plane I always jump from the chair when that happens.

I know the story is long and many people begin to lose sight of what he is trying to accomplish. From the very start of the game CJ is trying to take down the entire drug trade that has ruined society around him along with it being linked to his mother's death - which he wants to avenge her death. Not only does going back to Los Santos stop the entire drug trade once and for all, he can now feel as if his mother's death has been avenged. Watch the San Andreas Intro video that is on youtube and you'll see that Tenpenny made Big Smoke put the hit out on Sweet, thus BS and Tenpenny's death is the closure CJ wanted. CJ accomplished everything he needed to. He may not have gone about it the same was as the other protagonists but at the end of the game He is probably the protagonist that had accomplished the most, along with Vercetti in VC.

You can explain it all you want but it don't take away the number 1 problem with CJ; the victim mentality. You are meant to feel sorry for him because his mom died, because Brian died, because he ran away and everyone treats him like crap (for good reasons) because he runs away when the sh*t hits the fan every single time.

 

Then you are supposed to still like him when things start going his way. He makes money, gets a garage, but it's not good enough. He bitches and moans the entire time when things are looking up for him. he gets good work around San Fierro and still moans and complains about it. He allows Tenpenny to use him constantly, because he has this victim mentality about himself. The whole "poor me" scenario got old quick in the game. Tenpenny fit in with CJ so well, because CJ is a victim, he's not a survivor. Tenpenny used him easily because of this, he was so easy to control. He had his chances to go after the big time players in Los Venturas, even try to go after the mafia to do his dirty work, but they probably would have killed him. CJ isn't a top player at all that scares the living crap out of a crooked cop. Tenpenny is not even a detective at that. The whole story, CJ lets him push him around and do his dirty work all for him. This shows he's really weak, and the gang banging isn't what it's all pumped up to be.

 

 

If you had started in the ghetto and managed to get out of the hell hole, and make something of yourself all around the city like he does in the game, would you really throw it all away to go back to being a gang banger just to please his moronic brother? That alone is the dumbest plot to any GTA game ever made. "Let's go back to the hood, that's where it's all at". This is just a video game, so it's very possible, but if that were real life, no way in hell. You will never find any career criminals that started in a ghetto, and actually went back when they made pay day with something big. Just imagine Carlito Brigante from Carlito's Way, even after he was released, he did not want to go back to the streets whatsoever, and gave many reasons through out the film about how and why it was so terrible. The whole idea with Big Smoke being this Rick Ross type drug dealer is a joke.

 

 

And to top it off, in the end All CJ accomplished was killing a crooked cop. How you can say he accomplished just as much as Vercetti in VC blows my mind. CJ accomplishes nothing in the end. His mom is still dead, Brain is still dead, Sweet is still a moron, his friends Smoke and Ryder are dead, he makes some amazing contacts out of town with the Triads, and builds up a reputation with them, but still throws it away for that stupid Grove 4 Life bullsh*t. But the Grove street gang is still alive! And he killed a crooked cop, well done.

 

 

Look at Toni Cipriani, he took out the Forelli's and the Sindacco's, and crippled the Yakuza without running away when Sal went down. . That is accomplishing something, not just for himself, but for the Leone Family together. CJ leaves Los Santos like a coward when the sh*t hits the fan with the Grove gang, and waits till they are completely taken over by rivals, before doing anything about it.. That's a big difference. Cipriani, like Vercetti is a survivor, they don't play the helpless victim role of CJ. Afterall Toni has a hit put on him by his own mother! And the guys are always popping up trying to kill him before he is made and he still put up with it and survives. CJ had absolutely nothing to fear as long as he did Tenpenny's dirty work and stayed out of Los Santos like a good boy when he was told.

Excellent... You didn't cover that the People of CJ's type are taught to be down trodden, to take what they can, to use force instead of thought all in the name of their 'culture'. After 400 years of being treated as inhuman some act that way as a way of life. The few that strive and make it are the exceptions.

TonyMontanaCDL - We were discussing CJ's accomplishments, what his mentality has to with it doesn't change what he did. It's ok if you don't like his aproach to life and how he handles things, but you can't use that as an excuse to completely right off that fact that he accomplished what he needed to by going back to the ghetto. It wasn't just to please his brother, he knew Sweet was right about CJ needed to finish what he started.

He took down the entire drug syndicate that was ruining everbody's lives. The crack epidemic was a real thing in the early 1990's in Los Angeles, it ruined so much. It's no different than Tommy taking over the drug trade. Tommy owned a movie studio - CJ manages the biggest rapper in GTA SA. Tommy owns a strip club - CJ is part owner of a Casino. CJ also has a Car Dealership, a Car repair shop, an airport, runs the streets of LA, owns WAY more houses than Tommy, ect.... I think it's fair to compare the two if you actually recognizes what CJ has.

Keep the topic alive. Some problems can probably get fixed by modding!

1. I don't like the graphics.

They should have kept the III/VC engine graphics style.

I still cannot understand how they could remove things such as:

 

- Vehicle reflection

- Cumulus clouds

- Water reflection

- Sun flare

- Blood and water drops on screen

- Wallpapers and leaves on the ground

- Blurry blades (helicopters)

 

The second thing I really don't like is the fact that the map zone cannot be enhanced properly.

At first you think VC's area was more restricted but actually VC's map area can be enhanced to astonishing dimensions. San Andreas is in fact bigger but it is also more restricted at the same time.

 

3. I don't like the sound bugs.

 

4. The replay system: It is very buggy and limited to 25 FPS. By enhancing the FPS using programs you also enhance the replay speed. Slowing it down in a video editor, you are back at 25 FPS. Also sparks and everything was removed and the wheels of some vehicles aren't spinning

 

For the stunting scene Vice City had definitely the better replay system.

One word - traffic.

 

Why oh why is traffic and the driving-culture so messed up in this game. Seems like nobody knows what good are brakes for. Impossible slowing your car down a bit on the highway - quaranteed collision in a couple of seconds.

 

Secondly those sharp turns other cars make. There are two lanes going to one direction and a car is driving on the left side, when all of a suddenly turns sharply right and off the freeway - no logic at all.

 

And thirdly the speed logic - I may have a sports car and even use nitros, but a darn Bravura drives just as fast as me?!

LOL that is because the traffic is scripted and there is one script that moves everything (the script is moving vehicles, not driving them). That Bravura could have been a Forklift and still drive move as fast as you can drive your nitro-powered sports car. The game don't start to really drive each vehicle individually unless something causes that to happen. The most common events that makes the game remove a vehicle from the script and start driving it individually and according to the vehicle's characteristics are:

- physical contact with an object (human, car, bullet, anything)

- sirens from emergency vehicles

- usage of weapons (gunshots etc)

 

And yes it's annoying that NPC drivers don't know a thing about traffic. It's bad when they change lane for no reason. But it's worse when they are not just doing things for no reason, but act opposite of what they should. Like when they are in the left lane and turn right in a street crossing. Or turn left from the right lane. It makes me mad sometimes.

I hate the Audio Bug, When you're playing for almost 1 hour, Your game sound starts to be bugged, You cannot hear any sound effects or any cutscene sounds only radios!

 

I also hate the mission:

 

• New Model Army

• N.O.E

• Zero's Mission which is all about RC vehicles

• Some of Toreno's Missions

I also hate that when you drive so fast, Sometimes when driving to fast, You will crash in a vehicle that just hit a Motorcycle even there is no drivers or passenger of it. (In Highways)

The most thing i hate when driving in highways is when some stupid NPC driving really fast and turn to left or right lane quickly for example you're in left lane and the NPC is in right lane, you're driving so fast, The NPC turn to left lane causing you to crash in the vehicle.

I hate random gangsters shoot you out of nowhere while you're trying to spray some tags. That and the stupid A.I, literally sometimes I feel like flipping my table 'cause of them stupid A.I
