The fact that several gangs are noticeably underdeveloped in certain aspects when it comes to free roam.

  • Varrios Los Aztecas: Permanently hostile towards CJ, even after befriending Cesar and retrieving El Corona nearby the ending.
  • San Fierro Rifa & Da Nang Boys: Sill neutral towards CJ even after the severe loses he brought to them (especially after killing their leaders, T-Bone Mendez and the Snakehead, respectively).
  • Triads: Can't be seen around the Four Dragons Casino even after the opening.
  • Italian Mafia: Can't be seen anywhere in Las Venturas apart from the interior of the Caligula's Palace casino.
  • Russian Mafia: Have only be seen in storyline missions so far, nowhere and never in free roam.
  • Bikers: Weren't set to spawn as an actual gang even while there are two unused gang slots available in the game's files.

There was more attention put in such details when it comes to the other GTA titles taking place in the 3D era.

This is why I dislike the Aztecas even though I like Cesar. Can't even wipe them out if you want to cause they're a 'friendly' gang though they're anything but. Atleast we can do the lowrider challenge with them I guess.

I thought this was to give the casino an appearance of legitimacy unlike Caligula

I hate how there is no unique reward for completing paramedics

Full health for completing the paramedic mission.

I don't think I responded to this topic yet, so here goes:

- I absolutely hated that despite all the talk from Kendl about how she's going to turn the business around nothing ever happens to the Doherty garage. I was really looking forward to it being re-painted and re-opened.

- Many interiors lack details. Some are good, like the Angel Pine savehouse, but many, especially in LV, are very empty

- The solid hedge in the middle of LS. You know the one I mean.

- Catalina's Buffalo (and some cars in the Driving School) always having Radio X on. E.g. inability of the game to remember my radio choice

- Inability to use the petrol pumps. The one in Palomino Creek was the most disappointing. It was so picturesque! But I got used to that now.

- That you can't go into rooms in Toreno's house or store vehicles in his garage. Used to drive me nuts.

That's what really confused me. They say they would make the garage a business yet for the rest of the story, it still remains the same sh*t-hole CJ complained about it being in the beginning. You can read my re-write of the story in fanfiction where I actually write more about this after the Puncture Wounds mission.

I agree. Rockstar tends to annoy me with their lazy designs of the interior.

Eh, that don't bother me that much. You can just simply change the station, which brings me to an irrelevant pet peeve: the controls to change the stations in the previous games before this, where you have to keep pressing the button on the controller to get to a station after missing it. San Andreas fixes that by making the arrows the controls to change the station so you won't worry about skipping your favorite track and have to keep pressing the same button over to get back to it.

Can't disagree with that.

In all my times I played GTA SA I always reached full health through random increase health increments rather than doing the paramedics. Doesn't even take long either. So if their gonna make that a stat than paramedic should be for something else.

-The visual style of SA compared to GTA III and VC is kind of more lifeless and bland. I think Liberty City and Vice City look more atmospheric than the cities in SA. The quality of graphics is not the issue but the vibrancy of colors and the contrast. Also the clouds and some weather effects like the rain look worse.

-The shooting mechanics are better than in GTA III and VC, but there are annoyances the former two don't have. CJ for some reason aims in the air if you move backwards while aiming with a handgun. The gun flash effect looks worse than in III and VC. The variety of death animations and weapon sounds are downgraded.

-The driving mechanics as well are better than in GTA III and VC (less arcade like), but some details with cars are missing. Reverse lights don't work, large vehicles don't have a reverse beep sound. The ambulance siren sound isn't unique. Quarter panels of cars can't be damaged. Also colliding with pedestrians and street lights slows the car down too much.

San Andreas is the most advanced game of the 3D era, but in many areas it feels more unpolished and lacking in detail than its predecessors.

The interiors don't always match exteriors.

Some purchasable safehouses in San Fierro have same interior like some purchasable safehouses in Los Santos and Las Venturas WHICH don't match interior with exterior. Why?

The drawing distance is very low. Seen in specially while flying. Why?

Peds are too repetitive, and they should do more things that just walk(thank you GTA IV!)

Mullholand Safehouse is crap. Why change from amazing beta?

Revolver is not in game. Why?

The storyline doesn't always make sense.

Ryder betrayal/Photo Opportunity/Deconstruction/Zero/Doherty garage(suposed to change,and to be accesible)/...

Why there aren't more business to buy? And missions for the business(something like VC).

Gang territories sometimes are ridiculously small, like next to the Burger Shot in Temple.

Why San Fierro Rifa doesn't have territories to conquer?

Why you can drown underwater and collect oysters and other useless collectibles when it's useless. Tags and Snapshots should've been only collectibles.

In SA should been more villages,a bigger dessert, one more mountain, hills and a little city as a state capital.

If there were technical limitations becuase the disc didn't have a lot of memory, why didn't Rockstar do GTA SA on 2 DVD's like RDR2?? It would been an amazing solution to make SA a better game, add more things, maybe remove useless missions and add corrections to bugs.

Freefall and Supply lines look more like torture sessions than missions.

The sequence when you buy a ticket to fly between 2 cities is as long as the Great Wall of China and as boring as an episode of Maigret (which is even more boring than an episode of Derrick that is to say). I got so bored when I saw it I knew I would never ever buy another ticket to take a flight between 2 cities.

Freefall is just a medium difficulty mission.I also struggled with it about 4 years back. But now I am pretty much a professional at it.

I don't know why people see Supply Lines as a torture as I did it in my first attempt. Just park the RC behind the vehicle at a traffic signal and start firing after attaining a perfect position.

I agree for the long distance in flights,So I always end up skipping the cutscene:p:santa:

You meant, your driving skill? I've seen players who drives

really fast and never collide with anything.

Oysters also help players quickly get girlfriend and hot coffee. Plus there'll be no more things that Rockstar can even build properly so i guess let's enjoy this really small game.

My most disliked thing about GTA SA is a bike that always spawns in highway with no driver causing accidents everytime.

Maybe it doesn't happen to you, but sometimes when i drive in highway, there'll always be a bike that spawns in the middle of the street causing accidents everywhere.

If this is about the game elements, i'd say i dislike that Seville Boulevard Familied and Temple Drive Families aren't right. If they were beefing with them, they should've attacked CJ or nearby Grove Street gang and shouldn't be allowed to be recruited. It's the aspect of the game that i myself don't like.

Completely disagree

I love the cutscenes showing the flight between each city, I just love viewing the map from the sky and clouds. It's not something I do all the time to travel, but I certainly like to please my eyes once in a while, same with the trains.

As for trains,I only use them to travel within the city

The only time I used it for inter city travel is for the mission "Snail Trail"

Aztecas are simply a pain in the damn ass. No matter what CJ did with Cesar, they still beef it with GSF.....RIP to my all Tarnells and Troy's who have been victims of unnecessary gang violence, lmaoo. I'll never regret giving Vagos and Ballas turf here in El Corona so they could all fight for turf while GSF makes moves in LV. My new save I guess since my primary save, LV has gone to sh*t with turf glitches.

Obviously in the end it's just lazy  programming by R* as in the damn beta these dudes would all get along and could possibly be recruited. The same with San Ferrio Rifa and Da Nang boyz not  becoming hostile after CJ and the events occur. It's almost as R* wanted the gang hostility to stay in LS rather than to bring it in SF.

It does happen. It's like when traffic tends to spawn so quickly on the highways you'd notice certain bikes spawn without an NPC driver then all hell breakes loose when the rest of the drivers and police get closer, they all freak out after shootouts occur, vehicles crashing all over the place, large trucks flying in mid-air, NPC's running around with shovels and baseball bats. Finally when that one vehicle flips over you know it's about to go down with the chain reaction of explosions. It's just a mess on the highways

Was the seventh gen your first console or something? PS2s didn't have hard drives; everything had to be on the disc, and dual-layer DVDs (DVD-9) were notoriously unreliable. Anyone who ever owned a black PS2 slim and Gran Turismo 4 knows the struggle and the subsequent pain all too well.

I recently switched to PC gaming in 2013. My last console was the Xbox 360. I had San Andreas on the PS2 but the "dusk" effect really ruined the games playability for me. Nothing was clear and all of the textures looked garbled. I didn't have a fun time playing it.

Now that I have it on Steam, I can replay it again. I never really put much time into SA. Out of all the GTA's it's been the one I spent the least amount of time with. I only beat it once.

Thank god for PCs.

What you're talking about is the radiosity effect. On PC you can use SkyGFX to restore all the graphical effects that were disabled and broken in the PC version but you can also manually toggle specific ones, so for example the set up I like is all the PS2 style filters with Xbox vehicle reflections and disabled radiosity blur.

That was the effect that I absolutely hated then.

The Steam version comes just like I like it. Everything looks clear and there's no sort of filter at all. The PS2 version for me was just a horrible, blurry mess.
