GTA V Box Art Being Painted

did anyone notice how close the painting is to a street that is actually called Grove St? this is real, is it coincidence or does R* know this?

There's a Grove St near the Rockstar North studio in Edinburgh.

This the greatest April fools Rockstar has ever pulled.

Not an April Fools.

The fact that the box art already looks so great prooves that it's real. And who would waste money and time on a joke? No one, this is advertising space and people are already annoyed by the delay. Go ahead and make it in April fools if you think Rockstar wants to harm their reputation and integrity.

Why have they stopped painting it then? Where are the artists? Why would Rockstar reveal the boxart on a wall in such a lame manner.

 

They would do it on their newswire or on the official GTAV website. Also notice that the artwork they have currently painted is from artwork already released. Rockstar would surely have new artwork to use for the cover.

 

If this is the official unveiling then its the lamest GTA box-art unveil ever as the momentum of hype has been shot. Its like downloading your fave game which is 20GB for days and right at 99% the end the speed drops to 10kbs. Excitement = gone.

 

And I disagree there are people who do waste money and time on a joke. Just look at Saints Row 4.

This wasn't meant to be the "big reveal." The only reason we're probably seeing this is that this is 2013 when everyone has smart phone where they can take a picture and upload it to the internet in thirty seconds. It's a lot harder to keep these things under wraps than it was even five years ago.

GTA IV Boxart was painted in LA and not in NYC... so I guess this is just R*'s way of showing it to people

seriously? rockstar arent stupid. they go painting a GTA artwork on a wall used for adverts without even hiding what their doing, out in public for people to see in manhattan. they knew people would see it being painted. if they didnt want anyone seeing they could have covered it up.
