GTA V Box Art Being Painted

But... but... GTA has always been like this. They released artwork before the box art and then they used the ones they already released along with some new artwork for the box art

Don't bother. Some people always find something to bitch about around here. If it had been all previously unseen artwork on the cover then you'd see people saying the new art isn't good enough and that the old stuff was better.

Rockstar probably have already done something maybe similiar to how they revelaed GTA IV box art. It seems dumb that of blue they would just paint it on the random wall for whole world to see. I'm sure cover will be revealed in next few days in a cool way.

They started on it yesterday quite late on the day didn't they?

They probably started a lot earlier in the day, or even a few days ago. They would have had to paint over the old advertisement first and then get it sketched up. I imagine that's quite hard on a white wall.

I'm not really impressed by the boxart. It's the same old grid-style they've been using since forever with artwork we've seen. Fan made box arts could look the same. But whatever, it's just the box.

Here's another, but more detailed outline of the car. Because of the brick-work, it makes it rather difficult to distinguish what parts are an outline, and which parts are not. Especially with the outline behind the car. That could be a crane to the left of it, and perhaps some sort flag on a hill in the distance, but I'm sure that is far from what the actuality of it is. The car could be on some sort of dock/pier, with the blue part being water, but I'm pretty confident that the shading from the bricks is what made me come to that conclusion (it has a water reflection-like quality to it). From the outline I've done, it seems the entire car is in-shot.

 

 

In hindsight, I should've used red outlines. The car's logo isn't on the grill neither, it's on the bonnet, so ignore that outline.

I couldn't even hazard a guess without knowing how long it's taken them to complete just the top 3 images. Also depends on the manpower. Maybe we'll see it on Tuesday on the newswire.

Easter Monday is not a bank holiday . Most stores are open, and it wouldn't merit a day off for contractors/painters.

In this shot? Good eye; never bothered looking at this angle, but it's definitely there. Makes sense too, but as most of us are stuck in the cycle of figuring out the images, some of us over-looked something as simple as the logo being there. Shame the image isn't any closer/more detailed, as we could've got a cleaner shot of the car, as well as the other parts.

No, Easter sunday is the only day places are closed.

That's good to know. They could be working on it all day tomorrow and with people returning to work, there's a good chance other people will see it and take pictures (we can only hope) - or maybe it was Rockstar's original plan to post it digitally online tomorrow as well.
