That was just posted on Reddit that image. It must be from earlier cause the guy is on his way back the now to take photos.

It doesn't seem to have a name according Google and Bing Maps. It just has shops/cafes underneath. It seems to be used a lot for advertising though so they must rent it out solely for that purpose.

66 Greenwich Avenue, and the shops just a pet shop, but because of the positioning of the wall makes it great for advertising

Take a look a this picture, it shows the GTA IV logo on a building in New York but I'm not quite some if it's the same building. It looks similar though.

 

[Edit] Well, the building that shows the GTA IV logo doesn't have a fence so I think it's not the same building.

Actually, this might be neither a fake or a hoax by rockstar.

 

I don´t see why most people believe, or mostly certain, on that this is the cover art? Think about it for a while. A guy sees some workers paint a gta v poster on a building and directly you assume that it´s the cover art for the game.

 

What it can be though is a normal preorder poster just painted on a wall to be more exclusive or something else. (the new helicopter on the wall might be a new backround wallpaper that we´ve not yet been showed but this store has - but that we´ll see in the nearest future)

 

What I want to say is that this might not be the cover art of the game....

 

At least I don´t believe it is. Why would rockstar make publish it this way? For the marketing purpose?! Really?! No, I believe that everything they publish to the society is firstly gonna come from their website.
