No they weren't sequels to eachother and the stories didn't have much to do with eachother but characters were in each game. What i'm getting at is some small thing in each game has something to do with the other, some other examples being how you see Claude in SA, Ray says "see you in Miami (Vice City) in GTA IIIa nd you get called Tommy in SA, and in Vice City you see Donald Love and Phil Cassidy from GTA III So what I was thinking was, what if GTA IV, V and VI were another one of these trilogies? It starts with GTA IV then R* already confirmed characters returning from IV to appear in V. Although they aren't Packie or Niko (confirmed by R*) it could be Little Jacob or Dwayne, they could talk about stuff they did in Liberty City and some of it could fuel a mission then in VI this could happen once again, so like I said at the beginning although it isn't strictly a trilogy, it would be cool for the 3 to be linked in some way. Hell, they might even do Liberty City again by the time it comes out. If I had it my way, they'd do GTA is the Southern states- have a little Dixie fun. Yeeeeeehawh! GTA VI will probably be part of the HD Universe & quite frankly, I'll be glad if it is. This universe is so well made & the game mechanics so far ahead of other open world sandbox games, it would be better for them (and less waiting for us) if they just slightly enhance the R.A.G.Engine, up the graphical quality, get a steady 50-60 fps & expand on what's already in V. Roman and Kate are out for the same reason, as well as 2 of Packie's brothers. Niko and Packie have been ruled out. Who all is left? Little Jacob Brucie Mori Mallorie Elizabeta (wouldn't put it past her to break out of prison) Phil Bell Bernie Badman There's plenty more that may appear, but these are the one's we would recognize sooner that are still alive. I mean we haven't even heard from that guy since finishing all his missions and he is actually affiliated in a mafia group or some gang. Also just to add to that, he was a nice guy too. Personally I think characters from IV and it's episodes will almost certainly return, though not ones you would expect. Minor ones, in the same vein as Jethro and Dwayne from VC to SA. As jamieleng said, probably Jerry Kapowitz. Probably some of the minor random characters that Niko meets. Whether next gen or not, I think GTA VIce (including part of "Dixieland" as Grope said) will be next. As much as a San Andreas Stories is desired & would make serious money if released as a downloadable game on PSN/Xbox Live & especially the Apple Store/Google Play. I just can't see R* going backwards now. They have so many successful IP's that need attention, like RDR, LA Noire, Bully & hopefully Agent. Still, we can always hope. My reason for thinking this is that simply. They could've named this GTA Los Santos or some sh*t like that or GTA 4 Los Santos Stories or something. Since with GTA 3 era games they didn't name GTA san andreas GTA 5. idk tho this is just a minor reason tho. I could be wrong or I could be right. Maybe the diamonds somehow end up in LS and our 3 protagonists steal it and have to deal with some bullsh*t Italians and Irish or Mexicans. The new gen is something different, although it has a theme. They did Midnight Club set in LA in 2008. RDR set on a Californiaesque state in 2010. LA Noire in LA in 2011 and GTA v in LS in 2013. New Austin is supposed to be Texas, Armadillo which in real life is Amarillo, Plainview is actually a real oil town in Texas, Blackwater is supposed to be Houston or Dallas & the town of Thieves Landing is supposed to be on the border between Texas and Louisiana.
