Above
That's not really R*, that's a moderating member or tech support, they can't really state they are worried about competition publicly anyway, it would look bad. I agree that they wouldn't say the opposite, but I don't how a Rockstar moderator is not Rockstar. Who is it then? Some employee who shares his/her personal opinion while reprsenthing the company? It's obviously Rockstar.
saintsrow
We need to ask ourselves: What will it take for GTA V to flop and fail? I don't believe there is anything. Always-online DRM like EA SimCity. Given the incredible rush at the moment GTAV is released, it would probably kill the whole internet, not just the Rockstar DRM servers. The gaming community and gaming press negative reaction would be massive on a scale that hasn't yet been anticipated.

Not to disrespect this place, but R* have much bigger media outlets such as official, mainstream magazines and websites, that bare a much larger audience/fanbase level to market and show off their game. Sure, one of their team may be employed to frequent popular forums such as GTAF.net to garner fan input, but I highly doubt it would hold such high significance to the degree where fan influence on a forum can alter development. Or did I just completely misread you? It's been a long day after all.

S1LV3R_W0LF
While I agree that Rockstar shouldn't be worried, neither any company )if they know what they're doing and believe in their capability they should always believe in it) it's astonishing how some people behave in these forums about Rockstar, it's like those little girls that tattoo Justin Bieber name on themselves like he was some god and lick their boots over and over. I bet if Rckstar told you to bend over you wouldn't even think twice right? Get some sense, it's getting annoying.
Revolution-XW
Rockstar Games: "BAH! Another gaming company dares to challenge Rockstar? We respectfully beg to differ, as we grind their face into the cobblestones." Good one! Imo, whoever thinks otherwise is just stupid. It's good to hear from themselves, how they feel. Racecarlock
Rockstar? Might want to spend less time responding to newswire comments and more time either developing or previewing the game.
Above
Rockstar? Might want to spend less time responding to newswire comments and more time either developing or previewing the game. Yes, it makes no sense to say that they are working hard, thus having nothing new to share, while they're behaving like some message board addicts. All the time spent posting those newswire comments could easily have been spent posting just a tiny amount of official news. They could start with giving us downloadable versions of the last two artworks. The true story is that they don't want to show anything at this time. Period! Last time it was at least 6-8 months, depending on whether or not the 2 screenshots that came in july counted as a preview for you.
