CaliBoiii Posted March 22, 2013 Share Posted March 22, 2013 Well don't get me wrong when GTA SA was based on 90s gang culture it truly was the gangster capital of the world, this will have gangs all over the beaches, valleys, deserts, and even SUBURBS. But I think GTA V will have hundreds of gangs I believe and most of them will be genetic gangs I believe , if u wanna comment how the gang culture will affect in GTA V or storyline post ur comments about ur opinions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
evoluon--720 Posted March 22, 2013 Share Posted March 22, 2013 man-this topic has come up alot over the past few days.. as much as im excited to see the gang world in gta 5-i dont think gangs are going to play a big part in this game as much as the previous ones . This game has a more serious tone and the protagonist seem more neutral,mature and independent (like niko). So no big emphasis on gangs this time.. but none of us really know..... Rockstar is saying this is a huge game and theres a lot more detail and variety than ever so its possible they may go all out and reflect how it really is in modern day Los Angeles. street gangs have become a little "elementary" in todays organized crime world. There arent too many street gangs (besides MS13/Mexican Mafia) that rise up in the ranks. Like back in the day-Rolling 60 Crips were involved in the drug trade- they use to call them selves Rich Rollin 60's and they were very organized. Now days-its just kids in their teens and early 20's doing foolish/petty crime..nickel and diming on the corners.. You dont see too many older gangbangers out and about claiming their sets and wearing gang flags So I think GTA 5 might capture that..Franklin is escaping that-pushing that life away. South Los Santos- im sure like South Central-is a dangerous place and many dont make it out. So a gang story might be a backdrop that will eventually be minuscule to the protagonist when he rises up the ranks and gets involved in the organized crime world.. sorry for rambling Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And that has been discussed before aswell...... trust me. Gangs are going to be vital for the world to feel alive. I hope there are many, many different ones across the city, and even in the desert and such. Honestly, I would just be happy if we could just deal drugs, gamble, and get weapons from them. Gangs don't have to be a part of the storyline, even though they will. They just have to exist and be dangerous. Like, if Michael were to walk in the hood, I want to see a difference than if Franklin or Trevor were to walk in. I just want the ghetto to be dangerous.
