JoaquinNsr80
Hello, I've recently started to play gta IV again because I upgraded to a new rig and want to make it look nice with ENB and other mods. My problem is the game isn't using even in some cases 20% of the resources my rig has availible. I'll start with my setup: Asus Maximus V Formula MB Intel i7 [email protected] (auto overclocked with asuite software) 16gb Corsair vengeance 1600 mHz gddr3 ram Sapphire radeon 7950 3gb gddr5 in crossfire (gpu clock 950 mHz memory clock 1450 mHz) driver version 8.17.10.1191 Samsung 250 gb ssd Corsair force 250 gb ssd EKWB watercooling for cpu, motherboard and both gpu's with dual xtx 240 radiators. Corsair AX750 psu Windows 8 pro 64bits Overall my cpu and gpu temperature runs from 17ºC-31ºC on max load and slightly OC'ed. So I benchmarked GTA and EFLC at max setting with 1.04 and 1.07 patches and 1.02 for EFLC. Also benchmarked using Icenhancer 2.1 with stock settings and with L3evo configuration. Note all the benchmarks are done with the game unmodded (no car mods or textures aside for the stock), only in the metioned cases the only mod used is Icenhancer 2.1. All the sliders to the max, shaders, everything on high or very high and 1920x1080 60hz. So these are my results for GTA IV: Stock graphics with patch 1.04: Cuadros por seg. (promedio): 58.95 Duración: 37.64 s Uso de la CPU: 30% Uso memoria (sistema): 22% Uso memoria (vídeo): 31% Stock graphics using patch 1.07: Cuadros por seg. (promedio): 21.66 Duración: 32.31 s Uso de la CPU: 19% Uso memoria (sistema): 21% Uso memoria (vídeo): 36% With stock settings the game is using 10% avg more cpu resources than with Icenhancer and 5% less avg. video resources and about the same memory resources. My question: Is there anyway to get the game to use more resources? Bescause in stock graphics during normal gameplay I get around mínimum 30 fps and 50-60 fps max which is playable but with icenhacer on stock settings I get minimums of 15 fps in high traffic loads and sometimes max of 40 fps when i'm not driving. It goes up to 60 fps only inside buildings or área where nothing is moving around. And this makes it quite annoying to play, but very nice visually. Not to mention i would like to add modded vehicles and that would kill the fps even more. Also wanted to mention that in most of the cases patch 1.07 is a Little bit more optimized tan patch 1.04 since I get a small difference in fps and system resources usage but still very small difference. taskforce
It's because of the AMD 7950. The new 7000er Cards perform very bad in GTA IV. I currently have ~ 45-50fps in gameplay with enb. (1920x1200, all max.)
