greenrock Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) possible theory: Michael and Trevor could be blood related/ and possibly be brothers (or cousins) around 7:20 they mention that a theory that Michael and Trevor are blood related...... you guys remember the "Albert and Simon Desilva".... they mention that why would Michael seek out a psychopath for a complex bank job, Michael is too smart.... its a good theory maybe the FIB separated Mike and Trevor, and they both had there names changed so what do you guys think. If they were brothers there would only be two characters and Franklin wouldn't exist, they are separate entities, they have to be, otherwise the three characters wouldn't work together. De Silva's were just names used to mislead fan's into thinking they knew something about GTA V because of the casting call, when in actual fact we know nothing. This suggests to me that they either know each other from A) childhood B) prison C) the military. On an unrelated note I feel that Rockstar - since GTA IV - are making a conscious statement about the impact of military service and the difficulties many servicemen have reintegrating into society as well as tackling popular notions of heroism. All of Niko's troubles stemmed from his military service. Luis was constantly compared to his brother and father, in a negative light. Who were the photos of in his apartment? I felt there were allusions to a military background in Johnny's back-story but even if I am mistaken there, the Lost MC operates like an army - on principles of loyalty and deference. Furthermore, think of the difficulties had by those - specifically Johnny - who wanted to get out. Or, indeed, those like (I believe his name was) Angus who was essentially rendered useless by his loyalty. If we stretch back further though we can see GTA as a commentary on the alienating effects of institutionalization more generally though. Claude had come out of prison. Tommy had come out of prison. Victor Vance was a military man. Toni (if I remember correctly) had just come out of prison. CJ may not have been imprisoned but he was exiled to the east - in a mental limbo (although I admit CJ does not quite fit the pattern, he is still an individual isolated by the state). It originated from an apparent 'leak' that Rockstar made that had a list of character descriptions on it, including Albert De Silva. The list has never been proven as true, so you can (and everyone else hanging on to this Albert De Silva theory) be assured that it's simply a made-up name. Now, please, stop spamming!
