Deffpony
Ran across this video on youtube and it really gets me excited for the GTA V map. Toward the end when the guy stands on the mountain and overlooks the city (25:36) it really makes you realize how adding diversity such as mountains/lakes/forrests really adds to the map. Are you guys as excited to drive through the mountains as I am?!?! Edited March 20, 2013 by deffpony
thebestgameever
As long as R* DON'T ROYALLY f*ck UP THE DRIVING PHYSICS, I am looking forward to this probably the most, just driving around in the wilderness and country side with IV style physics will be so epic. Sadly the trailers have me worried with how the cars handle.

From the look of the trailers they seem to be just like IV but with more weight and grip

Kifflom112
Weird, I just watched that video a weekend ago and thought it was quite cool. And yeah I am stoked to drive through the countryside with, say that XFR/Quattroporte/9-5 sedan. You seriously liked driving cars like boats in IV? The only problem with IV's handling, in my honest opinion, was that the cars never felt planted on the road and they were too bouncy(well I only direct this problem towards cars that aren't supposed to be so bouncy like the Presidente). Other than that, IV's physics were very sophisticated and well executed, which is why most of us are afraid R* will screw it all up. rampage08
the handling in IV is still the best handling in an open world game, though in some cars, they should lay off the suspension a lil bit, like the presidente and cavalcade, everytime i turn the car, it felt like im driving and old car, like Kifflom said, its too bouncy

Ermac_
1:46 <<< That is what traffic should be like. I believe traffic will be at that at certain points during game play, I remember reading from an article that at 5 o clock when everyone is finished work traffic will be at its peak. There are a few moments, like when the one silver car comes off of the trailer and spins around- it looks like it has waaayy to much grip (almost like GTA III era). I hope this is just a visual effect for the trailer and the cars won't actually stick to the road like an arcade-style racing game.

I'm pretty sure the reason this sequence in the trailer looks weird is because it´s a cut-scene, the car is animated by hand and doesn't depend (for the sake of movment consistency) on the actual gameplay physics. If they stick more to the road, its gonna be way better
