HOW'S ANNIE?
Going through old topics about the suspected voice actors for the protagonists of GTA V, it's obvious that Rockstar are trying to make the characters appear similar to their voice actors (or the other way around). But my question is, why? They've never done this with the previous games (with the exception of two or three characters from the 3D era), so the only conclusion I've been able to draw is that R* plan on doing something live-action with V (whether it be a full blown movie, or just a short 10 minute long thing). I've got to ask, does this seem plausable or am I thinking a bit too far outside the box? And would you like it if R* did actually do something live action? Chukkles
I'm sure motion capture pays off a lot better if the character looks like the actor.
Deffpony
Rockstar likes the VA to resemble the character for creative purposes. To assume they are doing some sort of live action film is a reach to say the least
SlappyPwnsAss
wouldnt mind them doing a live action short movie at all... especially since the characters look almost exactly like their real life counterparts
Guest
I imagine there are a few reasons. One being, the motion capture would look much better if the actor looks the same as the in-game character. The second being, the voice is "attached" to the character, it makes it more believeable. The third being it allows them to use the actor as "reference" when making the models, which can help with making them look lifelike. I'm not entirely sure though, but I doubt there will be a live-action movie.
