Emergency_Room Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Back in 2008 I bought GTA IV and an Xbox 360 and loved it. However I never really was a fan of paying to play online so I rarely ever would drop the money for Xbox Live. A couple of weeks ago I bought a PS3 and since online is free there I am wanting to do a bit more online play. One game I am thinking about getting is the Complete GTA IV edition with online play being a big reason. What I am wondering though is how many people still play this online (not on the board alone but also over-all) and also how common is cheating? Toke Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 As far as I know both xbox and ps3 players of gta IV MP have to deal with modders by the dozen and its increasing daily. Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 So long as you don't play with Auto-Aim or on TBoGT frequently your chances of finding a modder are very slim, and in the event you find one you can easily join another game without a modder. The PS3 community for GTA is still very much alive! Everyday I see a handful of new faces. Which is great as I play the least popular version TL&D. If you want to play free mode with the noobs above, you'll find plenty of players, spawn killers, clans, squeaky voiced kids, players pretending to be bikers/mafia,, especially in TLaD, heli-whores and the occasional modder especially IV/BoGT. Get it for ps3, and you'll fit right in. If you want to play competitive modes (TMW / CnC / TW / TDM / Witness Protection) , you'll be very lucky to find any decent games, it's mostly empty lobbies. With the exception of a few players like myself, and others. Racing is quite popular on all the games though, so if you like racing particularly on GTA, then yeah get it. Either i spend lots of time searching for a decent game or I am joining some sh*tty FM. GTA4 was the only game i was playing for a long time. Im 35+ and I dont have time to focus on games, so GTA MP was suitable for me. But not on the expense of wasting time in game lobbies or searching for a decent game for 15+ minutes.
