Crumplet
Am I the only user on these forums who believes we're underestimating the scope of V? Everyone's always saying how Downtown LS looks significantly smaller than previously anticipated and that the game won't be as big as we all think it is, however, I think we don't even begin to have an understanding of how huge this game really is. Think about what we've been told: The version of RAGE being used is the best version of it yet, so straight away the physics and animations are going to be absolutely incredible to give the game world a larger 'alive' sense than we've ever seen, the fact that V has more cars than any GTA game in the past and also has the largest arsenal already sets the bar for what R* can accomplish, and then there's the diversity of the world, the three protagonists, the general detail and sprawl of it all... And yet, a majority seem to believe this game isn't that huge. We ain't seen nothing yet, fella's.
GTA-King
Agreed. We ain't even at the peak of this rollercoaster ride. Our minds are going to be blown. Simple as that.

What we've seen is doubtlessly about 0.01% of what this game has to offer, R* are good at doing that.
Racecarlock
Don't set your expectations TOO high. I've seen what that does to games, including many otherwise great ones. In fact I would set my expectations low just to get my mind even more blown. It's like expecting an ice cream to taste like sh*t even though you know it won't so when the ice cream tastes like ice cream you're all like "OH MY GODS THIS IS AWESOME". JaggySnake
I'm optimistic that Los Santos will be at least as big as Blackwater what are you on about? Los Santos will be about the same size as the entire IV map. Think of V as IV with explorable ocean, more interiors and a huge countryside at least twice the size of the city. We haven't even seen all of the map yet. A lot of the screenshots we can't even see Los Santos or any other locations from any other screenshots. We know it equals IV + San Andreas + Redemption + some extra space. The map is gonna be huge.

Every that has been shown and hinted at so far leads me to believe that this game is going to blow the minds of billions. Even if its just a prettier and smoother GTA, it will be good to be home again. 'Good' being a huge understatement.

I've had a feeling this game is gonna be huge since the debut trailer, don't know why, just a hunch that doesn't seem to go away.
DrewyR
It might be the angle of this screenshot making the city look bigger but Los Santos looks huge from this image -
K20
the game will be HUGE. that's for sure. i been supporting that from the start.
Rockbottomsville
I Know the map will be huge but each of the settings need to be done justice or its all for nothing. Like, the suburbs i dont expect much but a few old people fighting. But the ocean i expect a sh*tload of shocking things, also south L.S HAS TO BE GREAT this has been said 1000 times but the ghettos of liberty city were not dangerous at all they looked good but were not dangerous. The countryside i expect to be better than RDR so i have high expectations, but rockstar has never disappointed me but im mutual right now. Deffpony
After what happened with IV, I'm not going to allow myself to over project the aspects of this game. I honestly don't think it's going to be huge. I just think it will be really fun. Really really fun
BKALLDAY
People also need to realize that the sky itself takes up space. From the looks of it your going be able rise above the clouds. Based on Trevor jumping out of the jeep.
SlappyPwnsAss
For some reason, your post made me not want to see ANY gameplay before release just so i can experience it all by myself. Thanks, you got my hype back. I cant wait for this game.
ExtremoMania
I'm 100% agree that R* will make Los Santos bigger and bolder than any GTA setting to date.
Honest Bill
If we're talking purely about the size of the game in terms of space, then yes it's something i am very impressed by, when i heard that it is as big as RDR,IV,SA put together, i must say i was pleasantly surprised. But the critical element for me is the gameplay. It's all very well having a massive map, but they need to do much more than that. This one needs to be very deep and varied in terms of gameplay and interactivity. If they can pull that off, i'm sure it will be great. But otherwise, it will just be a bigger map to get bored in. FrankieP
Bigger, better, balder, just like Dan Houser's bald patch.
