73duster
I don't see why we can't have a Grove Street out of coincidence. If the different universes can have the same god damn vehicles and the same god damn brands of clothing, food chains, products, and actually have people on the radio such as Lazlow from the III era, then I don't see why we can't have one god damn motherf*cking street out of the 1,000 streets in Los Santos named Grove Street. Man, that's the scariest .gif I've ever seen in my life! That's the stuff nightmares are made of. Jesus, what the hells that from?
GarrowsKai
Hell yeah the grove should make an appearance. There's NO reason that there couldn't be a street that is shaped exactly like Grove Street, complete with the cul de sac, but changed to look how it would look if it underwent a redevelopment. It could retain the same street shape, but be surrounded by an outlet of stores, or mall, or even a small housing project. The street could be RENAMED "Grove Place", and somewhere on the new property could be a plaque that has the original name and some history about the former neighborhood. How cool would THAT be? I think this whole idea of "different universes" is a bit dumb. Rockstar could do whatever they wanted, they wouldn't be breaking any federal laws, lol. In Britain we have Blue Plaques to mark historic properties or places where historic figures lived, seeing as how GTA is made by R*North in Edinburgh if a street similar to Grove Street was to return as an Easter Egg then it would be quite a nice little nod to CJ for him to have his own Blue Plaque (or alternatively an American version if you have such things). People who have Blue Plaques include Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Isaac Newton and other great inventors, writers, scientists etc (even Benjamin Franklin has one from when he lived in London for a time) so it would fit with R*s humor to add CJ alongside such people! Travís.
to the people who think a street named grove should be added but is completely different, I disagree. I mean I don't care what houses are in grove as long as CJ's house is still there, even if it's run down, or abandoned.
PhilosophyPanda
It would certainly be cool with a small easter egg, even if it's the street only. Crossing fingers for that.

Above
I don't get upset, but why should Grove Street get any special treatment in GTAV? People need to understand the logic that Rockstar utilizes when defining eras. For example, Grove Street can't be compared to places, such as Mt. Chiliad, which is a major location similar to Los Santos. Remember that GTAIV had no streets from the 3D era version of Liberty City, and neither did any of them have streets or neighborhoods from the 2D era. In GTAV we might see a neighborhood, which is based on the same location that served as the inspiration for Ganton in GTASA. And there might be a street that looks like Grove Street, but it just won't be called just that.

Killerdude
Grove Street should not appear ingame, because we are done with that sh*t now, no more CJ, no more Claude, No more Tommy, no more GTA 3 Era. We have moved on. Right now as I see it, It's like your dog has died and you refuse to accept the fact that your dog is dead and you drag around its decomposing corpse occasionally stopping to tell it "Who's a good boy!?" Bury your f*cking dog and move on. It's dead.

So expect the return of a revamped Families/Ballas gang aka CRIPS/BLOODS

epicluca
Wait a minute though, Grove Street could well return. I mean in GTA 3 there was a Marcos Bistro and in IV theres a Macs Bistro. So in V there could be a street named Grove Street that looks nothing like the one from SA or there could be a circular club called The Grove Club, who knows? nocunoct
Well, we still have Vinewood in, and that's something people should consider. That makes it possible for Grove Street to be in the game too, although I'm not saying that I'm sure it will.

Movin out and having a stick up their asses knowhatimean? Or... like Franklin? @Santi, the Vinewood sign is based off a landmark, just like the US Bank Tower. That would be like not including Central Park in IV because it was in III too. I wouldn't call whatever street the Grove was actually based on a "landmark." Cheesy Vaginas
lol people are acting like San Andreas wasn't based on real cities. of course the vinewood sign and all the famous buildings and landmarks will be back because they're based on L.A...has nothing to do with grove street since its not based on a real location. however, I bet there will be a cul de sac in V, possibly named Grove, that will be a nod to the past
Calanguento
Man, I hope that Grove Street is back! But I think it will be very hard that it happen because, I mean, just compare Liberty City from era III and era IV - completely different.

Magic_Al
If two versions of the "same" GTA city have interpretations of the same real-life landmark or area, the same fictional name may be used. Reused GTASA place names could appear in GTAV more than GTA3 place names appeared in GTAIV, because both GTAV and GTASA share the approach of basing locations on specific real-life places, while only the GTAIV version of Liberty City had that style. blakeney
Yea but seriously... you proved my point completely.... CAPS=violent... lack of anything other then OMG DIFFERENT ERA'S = stupid. HAHAHA dickfaice... now we know what Ronald mc Donald was reading! He had early access to the Franklin trailer released today. Can i just say, you and your fellow jumped up era nuts got made to look like f*cking idiots today. OMGZ they wont use the same two gangs (Family's and Ballas) or colours... just becoz they wear green a few times... my nan wears green so she iz grove street??!?! GTFO already. user warned for homophobic rant I edited the use of the word GAY in a derogatory manner so it says nuts instead... but to make a CLAIM that all of my post was a homophobic RANT?? Really... If these boards had any kind of social persuasive power, i could sue you for defamation lol!! Any chance of an explanation on that one? Without you hiding behind pm's or "becuase i'm a mod and i think what you just said was a HOMOPHOBIC rant", because otherwise in other cases it means you guys could just ban/warn someone for pretty much any reason as long as you tag power words to your justification with no draw back to that!
